Green Bean Landscape Design

We found Nikki based off of a recommedation I received from a friend. We initially interviewed other landscape designers, but it was Nikki's enthusiam and sincere interest in our project which sealed the deal for us!
From the get go, she was extremely attentive and listened to our thoughts and concerns. She did a great job of coming up with a few different designs, and came up with a master plan that fits our budget and needs. She took the time to research ideas we brought to her attention (for example incororating an outdoor Argentinian BBQ) and was very fast to return our emails and phone calls along the way.
We are now about 50% complete our project, and she still maintains contact to see how we are doing. Its been a pleasure working with her!

Working with Nicolette was a wonderfully collaborative process. I was able to give her my goals and the sense of feel that I was trying to create, and her design accomplished everything I was hoping for. I now have my own oasis in the City

Our backyard was a total disaster; a barren wasteland reserved for weeds, out of control gardens and neighborhood raccoons. In steps Nicolette to save the day.

We talked with a bunch of designers and ultimately chose Nicolette. Her responsiveness, enthusiasm, clarity and design sense were unmatched. Through our several on-site meetings she was able to come up with an incredible plan. Since we are doing most of the work ourselves, it wont be fully complete until August... but we did get all of our planting done this past weekend and it looks amazing. We certainly could not have done it without Nicolette's planing plan and her responses to a few "just one last question" e-mails. Never did we get the feeling that we were "putting her out" which is certainly refreshing.

In a word: amazing. Nikki helped us create a design for our very shady backyard. For several years, my husband had struggled to grow all varieties of grass, with little to no success. Add a large, exuberant 65-pound dog into the mix and we were at a loss for ideas. Enter Nikki! She created a beautiful, sustainable plan for our backyard that that not only produces gorgeous flowers and full, lush plants but is dog-friendly. Yes, she actually took the time to do research about how her choices would impact our garden-loving (re: digging/eating) pooch. Thanks Nikki! We love our beautiful city, garden oasis.

We like to think green but with 2 pairs of hands, neither one of us has a green thumb. Enter Nicky from Green Bean Landscape Design. We got some wonderful options from Nicky to implement our low maintenance and sustainable green garden, whiling improving our curb appeal. Her plans were tailored to our north facing front yard, plants were chosen to withstand prolonged dry periods (as we seldom like to waste water on a lawn, hid our garbage bins, and proved to be very affordable. We are still working on the plan implementation...so pictures to come hopefully.

I hired Nicolette to develop a re-design of our front and back yard areas after realizing the 20+ years of overgrowth were no longer cutting it! I couldn't have been more pleased. Nicolette provided outstanding customer service, high attention to detail, and a very strong competence and knowledge in the recommendations she made. She was very flexible in scheduling her time with me, and we ended up also asking her for recommendations for someone to do the actual installation (another company I was very pleased with). I would highly recommend the services of Green Bean Landscape Design for any project you are considering - large or small; this company was an absolute pleasure to work with.

Two years ago I was ready to make a change to both my front and back garden, but didn't know where to start. Nikki at Green Bean was recommended to me, and after working with her, I would not hesitate to recommend her to others. My gardens were small, but my hopes were high! Nikki created a design for me which met my needs of blooms all spring/summer/fall, low maintenance, ability to keep some grass, a crisp, clean look, while also allowing me to keep 4 existing plants which were important to me. Not only was I happy with Nikki's design which we implemented, but she also patiently answered all of my questions (and I like to ask a lot of questions!). My garden continues to look beautiful... even better every year. Her choices were excellent.

I know almost nothing about gardening, but I knew what I wanted my garden to look like, and what was important to me (fragrant flowers, not a lot of work!). I chatted at length with Nikki and she helped me define the type of garden I wanted. When doing my design, she included such important variables as how much time I wanted to spend gardening, whether I wanted to be changing my plants every year, the type of soil in my yard, and the orientation of my garden.

We had just put in a new fence and it was rather stark in the backyard. Nikki came up with a design that was both lush and low-maintenance, practical yet beautiful. She was readily available to me at all times and extremely helpful whenever I had any questions. The fence was softened by climbing vines, and the garden has flowers blooming in it throughout the entire growing season. As I am a true neophyte to the gardening world, I very much appreciate the occasional emails from Nikki that tell me to trim my hydrangeas or cut my hostas. Every spring and summer, I am absolutely thrilled that I didn't just throw a bunch of plants in my garden willy-nilly, as the design by Green Bean is really phenomenal, and my garden went from gruesome to gorgeous. Nikki is extremely approachable, helpful and knowledgeable; it was really a pleasure to work with someone who is very passionate about both gardening and taking good care of her clients.
