Dr. Carpet

Matt and Dave from Dr. Carpet did a great job today. Arrived on time, started work immediately, completed the jobs very efficiently and well. Re-laid basement carpet that had been damaged by flooding, removed saggy bits of another carpet, cleaned entire basement carpet, front hall and stairs. We had much higher quotes for this work so we were very impressed. And very nice, hard-working guys too. Would highly recommend.

this is my second review for Dr. carpet.
During the 3 years since my first review we have continued to use Dave and Matt for routine rug cleaning but also most recently expertly stretching a troublesome carpet and as well having them clear up a very messy and potentially expensive downstairs water damage situation, in a short time, for an extremely reasonable price. Dr. Carpet are always prompt and are not reluctant to return to conduct touch-up visits. They also always move and relocate all furniture in contrast to others in the industry.
In short, if there is ever any carpet-related problem I would not consider any other company. Their level of service is worth every penny.

Afraid of getting broadloom cleaned because it may never look the same. Well it can't because it's be with us for approximately 10 years of more.
Finally decided on Dr. Carpet - not soaking the broadloom, bio friendly. The men called one half hour before arrival, very courteous introducing themselves. Went to work immediately. Answered any questions as they worked. The broadloom had red colour from cranberry juice - it's gone. Looks great. Also, they cleaned four living room chairs - clean as a whistle - even the cranberry juice soaked into one chair. Neat and tidy. We certainly would use their services again.

Making improvements to our town home prior to selling it. Was told by realtor that carpets on upper level and stairs should be replaced (keep it carpeted but lay down new 'cheap' broadloom.) We got a whack of quotes ($4-6,000 range) and the majority of installers weren't keen on working with metal stairs. One installer told us the carpets weren't in bad shape...told us to investigate getting them stretched and cleaned, which led me to Dr. Carpet. They answered my email query promptly, quoted me on a Wednesday and were able to squeeze in our cleaning on a Thursday...all at a WAY more economical cost. Carpets look great! Realtor couldn't believe it. Sold the house in a day and a half...thanks guys!

Fast, professional, fixed a hole in my striped wall-to-wall carpeting so well that I can't see where it was now, plus made our cream coloured leather couch look like new again, and threw in a few carpet spot-cleans at no charge since they were there anyway. Totally recommend.

We had a flood in our carpeted family room in the basement and
1/2 half of the carpet was wet and had to be pulled back to remove the underpad. The seemed part of the carpet was pulled apart as well. Dr Carpet came a couple of months later after the flood damage was repaired and a reno completed. The carpet was not that old and we just wanted it relaid. Some was damaged but I had found a 6x 8" new piece in the closet - a remnant from the original.
I phone 6 different companies for quotes. Most were reluctant to do the work, some never returned my calls or e-mail, some came with new carpet samples - it was very traumatic for us.
Dr. Carpet was prompt with a quote, and then followed up on my inquiry to do the work, the guys who came (Matt and his team) were kind courteous and got down to business to finish the work within 2 hours. This work involved re-stretching the carpet to the edges, tacking it down, seaming together a 14' strip and a 6 " strip with the new carpet piece. I decided to do my own steam cleaning after the fact though they would have been happy to do it as well.
So our carpet is not perfect, though the flood was clean water there had been wear and tear on it, everything is great, clean, back in order and we can enjoy our family room again. Thanks Dr. Carpet!

This is a 2 stage review. First, due to an accident with an iron we had to find a carpet repair service. We selected Dr. Carpet due to their apparent expertise in repair even though their price was somewhat higher than 2 competitors. We were not disappointed. The work done by Dave and his personable associate was flawless. While they were here I requested a price on carpet cleaning. Again, they were not the lowest bidder but we gave them the order. Not only were we not disappointed we are very impressed and will use them again.
They were here on time and kept us notified of their arrival time. I had little or no furniture to move, they did so. This was not the case with others that we have used previously for carpet cleaning. Their work was completed without the usual soaked carpets and high residual humidity. The completed work was thoroughly vacuumed and all carpets were flawless. They also assisted solving no charge with a non-carpet issue. Sincere thanks and warm regards to Dave and his associate

My puppy's half sister, Mushka, came over as usual (toy poodles). The dogs chase each other up and down the stairs and everywhere. While I wasn't looking, Mushka chewed up a big piece of the carpet on the stairs. These guys fixed it as if nothing had ever happened, and the repair is durable. Hope it doesn't happen to you, but if it does, call them.

The crew was in front of the house precisely when scheduled. I was able to book this service entirely by e-mail which is something I find very convenient. They did a very thorough and fast at the same time job, but there is no fault that we could find. It was done FAST and of VERY good quality. The carpet takes a bit of time to dry out (it definitely took longer that 1 hour but that was not a problem since we were moving in only the next day) but everything looked fresh and inviting after they left the property. They also accommodated and ad-hoc request to clean up some area rugs (for an additional cost, of course). We are very pleased with the results and we would definitely recommend their services to our friends.

Great punctuality - they called to let me know they would be arriving early! I think Dr. Carpet offers great value and quality service. They are down to earth personable guys that take the time to share information about their service and the products they use. I had some water stains on the carpet and they offered to come back if they start to show after drying. Our couches are looking much cleaner than before. They offered to clean my small rug at no charge as my basement carpet was less than the minimal amout. I thought that was really great - going the extra mile. They didn't nickle and dime on charging on applications to remove carpet stains. I liked that as well as I used another company before and once they got here it seemed everything was extra - not with Dr. Carpet. They didn't complain about moving couches or regular furniture as well. That was nice too.
