Hero plumbing solutions delivers on it's name! I wish I knew about them years ago. I called Frano at 4:30 pm on day 2 of Toronto's -20s temperatures. The minute he answered the phone I felt put at ease. Given the temperature, finding anyone willing to come out had been like pulling teeth. But not Frano. I explained that I'd already had a company in earlier that day to thaw our frozen pipes, but the pipe burst during the process. That plumber charged us for the thaw & quoted us over $860 to fix the burst. Frano was so kind and said he'd be by in 1.5 hrs. True to his word, he arrived at 6 pm and got right to the task at hand. After having a look in our crawl space he provided us with a quote for less than half of what the other guy (and one other company) had quoted. After agreeing to proceed he got right to work. Even though it was now dark out and the crawl space is only accessible from outside. He was done in about 1 hr. and also gave us some recommendations on insulating our crawl space. Seriously, Frano was our hero! Do not think twice about calling him!

We hired Hero Plumbing Solutions to waterproof the north wall of our house in April 2012. We had tried some patchwork fixes in the past, but after recurrent flooding, we recognized that the problem needed extensive professional repairs. We asked for quotes from 3 waterproofing companies. The quote from Frano Sain at Hero Plumbing Solutions was clear, comprehensive, and competitive with other companies. We also really had trust Frano’s straightforward, friendly style, especially when he offered to include a written warranty as part of his service. We hired his company and quickly learned that our intuitions about him, his crew, and his company were absolutely correct.

Frano and his crew were completely professional, polite, and efficient. The work itself was very difficult as the wall of the house is quite close to a neighbor’s fence. However, even though the job required extensive excavation by hand and storing the dirt on flat sheets in the front and backyard, the work site was always neat and safe. We were able to look in at the work in various stages over 5 days. The quality was always impeccable. And there were no surprises regarding costs or timelines. He also offered to resolve some other plumbing issues while he was working at our house for a fair price. We had some small concerns about the re-installation of our central air conditioning unit but when we contacted Frano about it, he went by the house immediately to address the situation. We’re so impressed with Frano and his crew that we plan to hire them again for other general contracting work in the future.

Before I met Frano I had another company do some interior basement system waterproofing. When the basement leaked, the company didn't honor their warranty and gave me so many excuses that I knew I was going to go nowhere with that company. I decided to start over again and look for a company that knows what they are doing. My idea was to waterproof the exterior and properly redo the interior with weeping tile. You may think it is overkill to do inside/outside, but this area has a high water table. Also the house is 100 years old and the basement block walls were in bad shape. As well there was no existing exterior weeping tiles. When it was exposed, the exterior wall were in rough shape. Mortar was gone between some blocks. Some gaps could fit a whole hand in them. As for the interior, water was rising from below the house hence the need for internal weepers. This was a big job and Frano professionally handled it with ease. When the entire basement floor had to be broken and taken out - Frano's crew handled it. There were no shortcuts. Frano saw the job completed through to the end. He even contracted/oversaw the cement company who poured our basement floor and exterior laneway. Alot of other companies would tell you to find your own cement guy and you're own your own. I only trust Frano and recommend Hero Plumbing for all your waterproofing and plumbing needs.

Hero Plumbing was fast, friendly, courteous in resolving my kitchen drain problems before it became a nightmare. Frano provided the right solution (and not a band aid solution) at a reasonable price for a home with 60 to 70 year old pipes. Keep up the awesome work!

I called a bunch of plumbers (over 15) and I decided to go with Frano because he was easy to speak to, I got in touch with him right away (rather than operators that I had to leave a number with), and he was able to provide a quote efficiently. He was on time, pleasant and professional on the job, able to answer any questions I had, and never made me feel like the job was rushed. He even removed just about every speck of annoying old caulk that was on the (smooth/glossy) ceramic tile from the previous toilet base joint. How many licensed plumbers would go through that trouble? Also, Frano offered up plenty of useful advice while doing the job. A++. Highly recommended.

Frano and his crew are professionals. There was a stench coming from the basement. Frano came with his camera and inspected the drain. The drain was collasped and had roots in the drain! Since they had to dig down we decided to also upgrade to a 3/4" copper water line. The crew encountered some unexpected issues but instead of leaving us without water for the night, the guys stayed late until the water was running and the new drain installed. I was very impressed. These guys are honest and hardworking and the price was very fair.

We called hero plumbing solutions for a quote to replace a large portion of our house drains because it was damaged by tree roots on our property. Frano was very well informed and a pleasure to deal with. The work was done on time , the work area was left spotless daily and at the end of the job. We could not be happier. Frano was very helpful in communicating throughout the entire process. This was essential as I was out of town. He was patient and logical in his explanation of potential causes for the stench. He also asked permission to continue work each time we came to a point where a decision had to be made.

He also was very helpful in providing information of potential problems that I might see in the future. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a skilled tradesmen that likes to be informed along the process.

Hero Plumbing came highliy recommended and did not disappoint! The work was done quickly, professionally and most importnatly on budget! The owner (Frano) even stopped in regularly to make sure we were satasfied and the work was being caried out on time/budget. I called several companies for this job and none could compete with the price that Hero completed the job for! I definitely recommend them! The quality of work was great as well, my foundation issues are finally over!
