Lisa did a lengthy inspection of our house after a leaky roof caused damage to the attic. After reading her detailed and well-written website, we decided to have a preventive inspection done, so that we could find out if there were any other problems and plan for repairs. Her inspection really was meticulous, obviously knowledgeable, and her report was clear and well illustrated with many photos. She found things I never would have thought of, and explained them clearly. I would happily recommend her to anyone wanting an honest, professional evaluation of their property. And she's a really nice person, too!

Meticulous Inspections did an impressive and extremely professional job on my home inspection far exceeding the work done by a previous inspector I had hired for my older house. My home is brand new and I needed to get it inspected before the Tarion End of Year. She exceeded all my expectations and spent a lot more time than she told me on the phone. Lisa has inspected 2 condominium townhouses for me (so far) this year. She is nothing short of professional and her reports are, as her company name implies - meticulous. She takes the time required to do a good, thorough job. I've compared her reports to those from other inspectors and am left wondering what other people really paid for. I also have training as a home inspector and am a professional engineer and Lisa can just as easily to talk to me at a technical level as she can explain things in an easily-understood manner to those without the technical background. I recently purchased a condo in a heritage property and needed an inspection quickly in order to close.
I received several quotes but Lisa was the only inspector with experience in heritage properties able to accommodate my schedule on short notice. She arrived early, was well prepared, polite and extremely knowledgeable. She truly was meticulous as advertised, did a very detailed inspection and took the time go through everything with me and answered all of my questions. The report was so great! Well organized and provided quickly; she went above and beyond, even gave me some suggestions on easy ways to resolve some issues with the patio. After watching Lisa go through a truly “meticulous” 3-hour inspection of my Riverdale semi, I can say—without hesitation—her work sets the benchmark for quality. From start to finish, the experience was pleasant and informative. I was nervous about having my downtown semi-detached (built in 1913) inspected as I was concerned that something might come to light that was beyond me to fix. (I know, I know…) Turns out, what I was afraid of wasn’t a problem but Lisa identified many other smaller things—easy fixes—that would have caused problems down the road if they’d been left any longer. Lisa’s level of professionalism is rarely encountered these days. Her depth of knowledge and her willingness to investigate further, even more uncommon. I was concerned about a few things at my house (asbestos, dampness in the basement, etc), so I contacted Meticulous Inspections for some professional, unbiased advice. I was impressed with the detailed inspection that Lisa did, and she pointed out some items that I was not aware of. She gave me excellent advice on the spot, and followed up with additional information by email. Lisa was very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I highly recommend Meticulous Inspections.

When we bought our house we were given two contradictory assessments of the roof's condition-- the previous owner claimed that the roof was new, while our first home inspector noted that it was in terrible condition.

We asked Lisa of Meticulous Inspections to give another opinion so that we could make an informed decision about how to proceed. Lisa did a detailed inspection of the roof, providing us with photos of all areas and explaining in detail the roof's exact condition and the need for repairs. Her assessment was later confirmed by the roofers that we hired to do the (very necessary) work.

After the work on the roof had been completed, Lisa returned to confirm that the work had addressed all of the identified issues. Again she provided us with photos, detailed information and recommendations for future maintenance. While she was there she also inspected faulty wiring in our home and provided us with valuable advice.
