Last year, I had a patio installed with the Banas ivory product. After the first rainfall, a number of the stones continued to appear wet and mouldy even after several days of high, intense heat and sun. The contractor was contacted immediately, pictures were taken and sent to the company for review. They continued to ignore calls and emails. Further rainfall caused more stones to discolour. More calls to the company. When we did finally speak with someone with apparent authority, their response was to power wash the stones! Despite several attempts at contact, they did not send anyone to come out and look at the problem, and almost a year later, they are refusing to take any responsibility for their product. There are two individuals at the company who keep passing the buck to each other (Bruce and Firoz). They know that there are issues with the Banas Ivory stone (I have since found out that I am not the only complainant) and are hoping that customers with issues will simply go away if they continue to ignore them long enough.
The patio has not been used at all since last year so that Banas cannot claim that we caused the damage to the stone. The product is awful, and customer service even worse.
If your contractor suggests any Banas Stone products, DO NOT even entertain the thought of using this for your project.
