Major overcharge for basic services!
I was charged $760 to unclog a toilet....my review could stop there as that's enough said.
I used ARO for the first time for my rental property in Edmonton. After 4 days of leaving messages for the manager at ARO Plumbing, Peter finally called me back (that was
painful) I spent 25 minutes on the phone with him hearing stories about how his grandfather used to tell
stories about using quality service providers vs the cheapest, and how his wife brought his $600 car in for
$2500 worth of service at the dealership, and how their pricing is constantly measured against the
competition for reasonability. In the end I asked him whether $760 was reasonable to unclog a toilet, or
phrased differently, if $380/hr is a reasonable charge for a plumbers time, labour only. In the end he
agreed to credit back a whopping $100. So in the end I paid only $660 to unclog my toilet, and by the way, I didn't even get a new toilet for that...
A very sad customer.
