Kitchen, closet and other small home reno project
First let me start by saying how I ended up hiring Manny. He was working two houses down to mine and I know by facts the owner of that house is extremely picky so I didn’t hesitate to trust him with my home project. Little I knew he didn’t leave in good terms at that job and I wish I would of ask for a reference. This is the reason why I’m writing my review so you don’t have to go through the same as I did with Manny.
Also he has no current reviews only few in his website from 10 years ago.
The job was to remove exiting kitchen cabinets with new IKEA ones , demolish and re-do a full closet upstairs in one of the bedrooms, changing some exiting doors for new ones and replace some baseboards. He gave me a decent price and the job was to be completed in 3 weeks which I though it was a long time for such a small project.
He was very polite, respectful and professional at home. He works great and for most part he is good at details.
I asked him to start at 9am but he showed up most days from 9:45 to late 10am with few breaks here and there the job took from July 24 to Sept 15 almost 8 weeks !!!!! So frustrating because everything is tomorrow when you ask him but tomorrow never happens. He also doesn’t say no to work but he keeps you hanging on it. The closet didn’t get finished neither the few touched up he needed to do as part of the other work in the kitchen. He left the job site asking to be paid stating that he had finished and what wasn’t done was additional work and cost.
He texted me as a mean of communication and I responded him with a phone call to make things clear. That conversation went awful to my surprise and shocked he was extremely aggressive on his tone and intimidating. I think and I personally believe he has serious anger issues. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone and if you hire him please be aware he will be a huge liability to your home and energy. Me and my family didn’t feel safe any longer after experience and hearing him yelling out his lungs all the anger. We were afraid he could come back to the house to cause some damage.
