Aaron was great to work with. Very accommodating and friendly with very competitive pricing. His main construction crew, Eric and Stefan were amazing--very good at what they do and highly polite and professional. Alex, the tile guy, did a wonderful job as well. And Aaron was on site a lot and made sure that all the work was exactly to our standards. We would definitely recommend and use Aaron from Zahlco Construction again.

The one caution would be with the plumbers that Aaron hired--they were not very polite and they made a number of mistakes that they had to come back to fix, including things that even an amateur handyman would be able to do right the first time (like ensuring that a pipe is screwed on tightly enough not to have water leak under the sink!). Unfortunately I don't recall the names of the plumbers so you won't know if they will be the ones working on your project or not--but I would recommend that Aaron find other plumbers so that his rating would be perfect and not a 9/10.

Aaron did a fantastic job. His team was courteous and clean. It's great to see when a contractor has passion for what he does and this shows through his work. From start to completion, the work was organized and detailed. Thank you Aaron.

I picked Aaron and his crew to finish my basement after getting quotes from multiple general contractors and I couldn't be happier with the choice! The scope of work includes interior water-proofing, adding a full bathroom from scratch, new basement electrical and re-routing the HVAC that was in the middle of my not-very-tall basement. As my house was built in 1910s, Aaron has to work around multiple constraints including a low basement, no parking, narrow entry way and old plumbing. Aaron was great at coming up with creative solutions that best fit my needs without breaking the bank. His quote was very reasonable and detailed, and the final price was exactly the same as the quoted price. He also has very good taste and I was happy to give him free range in picking fixtures and designing layout. Moreover, Aaron is one of the most hardworking person I've ever meet. He was always available via text message and phone, and he and his crew always showed up on time. This was very important as I have quite a busy work schedule myself and am (unfortunately) a life-long worrier and micro-manager. As I was living in the house during the entire time they were working on the basement, Aaron and his crew did their best to not disrupt my life and to keep the rest of my house as clean as possible. I'm so happy with the work Aaron did for the basement that I'm asking Aaron to renovate my bathroom, and would have no hesitation recommend him to all my friends and family.

Complete renovation of our bathroom including removing old vanity, old tiles, old fixtures, bathtub, toilet and installation of new equipment (tub & toilet), tiling, re-building of walls, painting, electrics, plumbing and installation of supplied vanity as well as Project management.

They were very knowledgeable and professional. They did a great job in a short amount of time. Helped me select nice finishes, stuck to my budget, and left the site clean. Followed up to make sure I was happy (I am!).

We got home from a long trip and walked into out home only to find that we lost power due to the storm and that when we regained power - the sump pump gave out. There was close to 20 cm of water in the basement. We were certain that the entire basement was to be fully gutted, our home theater, and that my husbands wine cellar was totally destroyed.
I was referred to this company from a friend who said they were excellent, and I definitely agree. The office got me an appointment right away. The technician who came to my home turned out to be one of the owner/ managers. I thought he was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly and personable.
I hired them on the spot! I felt quite comfortable and confident allowing 'Magical' to make it right! They also performed the mold testing and clean up as well, which came out great. I was very shocked to see the results since the damage looked irreparable. . I would most definitely recommend them without any hesitation.

We had mould around a porch door. We called in a few contractors to give us a quote to get rid of it and repair the damage. Every person that came in wasn't sure what should be done to get rid of the mould and prevent it from coming back. We called magical restoration. They sent one of their experts who knew immediately upon seeing the damage what needs to be done- how to repair it and clean it up so it should never come back again. They were very easy to work with and experts in their field. We would recommend their services to anyone with mould issues.

I was very satisfied with their work. They were reliable and efficient. A pipe burst in our basement causing a flood and magical restoration came in and clean it all up quick and efficient. They were a pleasure to deal with.
