We are in the design and project scope phase right now, and project start is to be mid June. To date, we are very happy with Thad Soyka's services. Design review is going at a great pace, we are not being rushed. The projected costs are in line with our budget. We definitely appreciate the cost transparency.

Shopping around for a new kitchen we visited some suppliers and manufacturers. As we started to realize that a kitchen replacement is more than just the cabinets and that our project is amassing on our wishlist, we contacted Thad Soyka. It was a good decision, mostly due to the transparency in costs and the meticulous attention to detail throughout the project. We had all the costs up front, presented in a professional format with the eventual scope laid out in concise form to reference, along with detailed costs broken down. Our schedule was posted and moved along with the projected milestones. Even though the completion date changed, due to us deciding to have the basement renovated at the same time, all trades involved were timely and professional. We had costs of basement renovation negotiated in our favour by Thad Soyka.

The quality of the renovation is fantastic. I am glad I chose your company. It came by reference from a former client and friend of ours, but I would recommend your services to anyone looking for a professional general contractor. One thing to warn about is that having the renovation placed in queue may result in a waiting period, as Thad Soyka takes on only a set amount of clients at a time.

We decided to give our home a much needed face lift. It was already 30 years old; we didn't want to move, as the location was ideal. The main floor was our primary focus for renovation as we spend a lot of time in the kitchen/dining room.

The biggest decision is always whom to hire to do the job right. We were going to live in the house (the basement) as the renos were carried out. From the very first meeting, I could see a professional approach to the project. We discussed our family’s needs and sketches were started to place the ideas onto paper. After the major items were covered, drawings and layouts of our cabinetry were generated. We had three free of charge revisions with the cost of planning and this was more than enough as we signed off on the project second revision in. Sub-trades employed by Thad Soyka are very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Clean up was done every day, and all observed the working hours between 8:00 and 5:00. We were very happy with the entire process. Rafal was always responsive to calls and emails. We received our 1 year Warranty in writing and are very happy with the outcome of this project.

Our kitchen was in dire need of a facelift, We liked the layout, but the doors etc, have seen better days. I called a friend of mine who had a kitchen re-finished recently by a renovator who specializes only in this genre. The renovators name was thad soyka.

I was impressed with the service I received from the first phone call. Courteous, and punctual to start. Thad had many great ideas, we got a proposal drawing which we could alter at no additional cost until we were satisfied. Actually you get two revisions free, but it was enough for us to get exactly what we want.

The trades which came thru our home were very professional and courteous. we had our trust in thad soyka from begnning to end. The finished kitchen came with a one year guarantee which was in writing.

I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience with Cornerstone. You hear so many nightmare stories about contractors that I was really apprehensive when it came time to select someone for this project (custom built ins and a mantle around a newly installed gas fireplace in our family room). But Rafal and his team delivered on every front, they were incredibly professional, exceptionally skilled and they finished our product on time and on budget. Rafal went above and beyond to ensure that we were always aware of what was happening and he took care of our home as though it were his own.

I would recommend Cornerstone Renos to anyone looking for a General contractor managed project, as the experience we had was incredibly positive. We did obtain several quotes and although Cornerstone was not the least expensive, the quality of the work, the accuracy of the quote and the trust we felt working with Rafal were worth every penny (and, to be honest, the price difference was not very significant).
