Humidifier water now runs constantly direct down the drain.

Humidifier quit working. The guy came said it hadn’t worked for years because it was wired wrong If that was the case we would have dealt with it then as we cannot stand the dryness. Instead of fixing it properly he rewired it so the water runs constantly. The only time we would get any good from it is when the heat runs. Heat does not run enough to bring up humidity. All we are getting is a high water bill if we use it Worse part is they don’t understand

Furnace Repair

My Furnace has a trouble indicator light which was flashing a weak flame signal trouble code and I new this meant that our igniter on the furnace was the issue because we had it replaced before when it would flash this code and it would be the problem. I called D&B cause we had used them previously but then they were D&A Walker Climate Care but I'm told still the same company. I told the person on the phone what the furnace was doing and that it was more than likely the igniter. I was told by the person on the phone that the service call was $98.00 nothing about a flat rate and that they would look at the furnace and then quote me what it would cost. The guys arrived at 2:40pm they came in looked at the furnace confirmed it was the igniter and proceeded to take it part, after having the furnace apart he looked and felt inside the heat exchanger and started hmmin and hahin and saying oh your going to need a new furnace and I said what he said yah he sees a crack in the exchanger and I said well don't you have a camera with a probe on it to confirm it and then he started to back peddle and say our boss only has one and he asked for a rag and said it was a little sooty, well after 21 yrs of flame inside the chamber would there not be and he cleaned it out said oh the black soot made it look like a crack so now then I'm back to not needing a new furnace which I was happy about but was kind of not believing when I was told I needed a new one he put igniter in sealed 2 joints on the exhaust vent pipe, the connection into the exhaust motor and the joint above it turned the furnace on and everything was fine, by this time it was 3:30pm he went out and said he was going to make up the bill came back brought to me I was shocked, $261.00 plus the 98.00 for a service call which in my previous experiences includes 1 hour of labour so total $356.00 plus txs $406.00 I paid them and they were gone by 3:40pm. After they left my wife asked what it came to and I told her she was more shocked then I was so I called and asked to speak to who was in charge and I was told that the $98.00 is just for the service call and does not include any labour and then they have a flat rate I was never told this so I told him so what your are telling me is that basically I paid $200.00 for 1 hours worth of labour plus the $98.00 service call on top of that and plus the part which I figured roughly to be $50-60 dollars I told him that's quite steep and he told me that's the way we do things and asked if they gave me a quote before they started and I told him I had not been given a quote and he told me they should have and that he would come and remove the part because they should of not proceeded without a quote I told him no thinking this to my self cause there was no way I wanted them back and will never be back. I told him I don't expect things for free but honesty goes along way with me.

Maintenace Contract

I have been very impressed with D&B Climate Care. Our builder installed a Coleman (York) Hi Efficiency furnace against our instructions but we forced him to install a 15 SEER Carrier AC. D&B corrected their poor startup, eventually found a leak in the evaporator and replaced it "under warranty".
I have been a design build engineer in Commercial and Industrial HVAC & R for 40 years with our own installation and service crews (80+ tradesmen). I am so confident in D&B I have signed onto a long term preventative maintenance contract.

Servicing AC and Furnace

I used ClimateCare to service my AC unit and furnace once a year as an annual maintenace procedure. The employee was knowledgeable and tested both units. By servicing both the furnace and the AC unit on one call, I believe I saved some money.

Emergency Repairs

Called the company during a breakdown on a weekday morning. They were told the issue, asked to notify my wife prior to doing an repairs. The frustration occurred when they did not notify us, replaced parts, and did not address the fan motor (which we knew already was broken, and told them as much. They spent 5 hours working on it and when they tried to leave the first time the furnace was not working at all. We "convinced them to stay to address the issue. They had something wired incorrectly and now was blwoing the breaker. We were given the bill, the all clear that is was repaired...but they had to send a repairman in the following since it still was not fixed. The man who came acknowledged that it likely was not handled properly the previously day. Then we called them the follwing day to sort out the bill. They had not prepared it yet. Then rather then calling us to address it, the send a bill stating that it was all necessary. Not a pleasant experience at all. The cost is not what upset me since it was an old furnace, it was the lack of customer service.
