Retrospect Tiles

By the time Charles came to assess and gave me quotation for my kitchen reno I knew I had the right person to do the job. He’s honest, descent, has integrity and a very hard worker. I like the fact that he’s punctual and let you know if he’s not coming or delayed that day. He also hired honest and descent electrician and plumber to work along side with him. He’d made sure that everything is done to my satisfaction. I’m very happy with the outcome and very impressed with his work ethic that I highly recommended Charles to anyone.

Charles did a beautiful job on our kitchen backsplash and installing moulding in our master bedroom. The project was seamlessly completed from the planning stages to completion and we couldn’t be more happy with the end result! Thank you Charles.

Retrospect Tiles and Backsplashes, installed approx. 600 square feet of
porcelain tile in our solarium, kitchen, hallways and washroom.
Charles took on a very complex and difficult job that included removing many layers of old flooring.
There were many detailed cuts that required precision fitting around cupboards as well as angled walls. We could not have imagined a better job and are so pleased we asked him back to install stone tiles on our fireplace. His price was extremely competitive. He worked diligently and is a very pleasant accommodating person. We strongly recommend him!

It was a small job, so small I feared no tile contractor would been interested. My concern was unwarranted, at least with Charles of Retrospect Tiles. Charles fit me into his schedule of larger tiling assignments allowing me to more quickly advance my kitchen renovation project. Charles did a great job, worked cleanly and was a pleasure to deal with. I'd certainly call Retrospect Tiles should I have another tiling project.

We had a fireplace to tile with ledgestone that was fairly complex, due to some home theatre components and the stone tiles requiring a very specific but randomized pattern. We also had a kitchen backsplash done. Everything ended up looking fantastic. Charles effortlessly incorporated all our requests and always had a solution to every potential snag. He answered all our questions, always came on time, and got the job done faster than expected. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough (he clearly has been doing this for a long time and knows all the tricks of the trade). We would gladly hire him back again!

Charles was such a knowledgeable and pleasant contractor. He offered various options and advice to us regarding replacement of our backsplash before the project began, was onsite when promised and kept a good pace and clean work area. He even helped us install our sink - above and beyond what he was hired for! We would highly recommend Charles - I wish every contractor was as professional!

Charles was AMAZING! He far exceeded our expectations, he was very professional and extremely knowledgable, he had a very calming presence so much so it was easy to forget he was there at times. He'll be installing our kitchen backsplash next month and will retile our bathroom a few months down the road. If he it was possible we would use retrospect for all our contracting jobs but he only does tiles. We would DEFINETLY use and recommend retrospect tiles in the future.

He also tiled my fireplace with a splitlevel stone and mounted the TV on it

The kitchen and washroom in this house had been renovated 30 years back. The whole look was outdated and in bad need of renovation. I found Charles through homestars. Don't let his young looks fool you. This guy really knows what he is doing. Where else are you going to find someone so knowledgeable, professional, hard working, reasonable pricing, honest and really caring about his work? He answers all your questions promptly, tries his best to fit you into his schedule and sticks to his timeline and exact pricing. People who see my pictures can't believe the amazing transformation in such a short time. Makes me look good. Retrospect will soon become leaders in this field. I have already told all my friends who were contemplating renovations to look no further.
