Astro was the only place in Ottawa where I could find pre-hung fire-rated doors. Unfortunately our doors took longer to arrive than we were originally told due to incorrect information provided by the manufacturer. As a result, we were unable to meet our deadlines and had to rearrange quite a few things. But the way our salesperson handled the situation is the reason I would go back to Astro. He was apologetic for the delay and called my husband to see if there was some temporary solution they could install so that our tenants could move in. We felt this could end up being complicated, so we declined. He then offered to deliver the doors as soon as they arrived, free of charge. Sure enough, as soon as the doors arrived, he personally delivered them. They were at our house within a half hour of coming off the truck. Even though it was not his mistake, we really appreciated him doing what he could to make it right. Also, the doors are excellent doors and we felt they were good value.

Astro took care of everything from my pencil sketch to finished rooms. I now have a beautiful, functional kitchen and ensuite. I loved working with the designer, Dan Lavigne, so much that I went back to him for my parents' kitchen reno! The workers were polite, friendly, accurate, and cleaned up wonderfully. I'll definitely go back when I'm ready to do the basement.

I'm a designer from Toronto, and I can't say that I've ever seen such a beautiful, well-organized showroom. They offer a multitude of different products and brands that are in the mid to high end price range. I bought several fixtures for a home, and had the pleasure of dealing with Sandra at Astro. She was amazing. Positive and always concerned with what I needed. She put a lot of time and effort into finding the exact fixtures I was looking for. I must have visited ten times before making up my mind. And each time, she was super patient and devoted 100% of her attention to meeting my needs. They really do take customer appointments seriously. Sandra also gave me a great deal for buying all of these fixtures as a group. I can buy the same fixtures at other stores, but the showroom and the outstanding customer service are the real reasons I would recommend Astro. Thanks Sandra! Keep up the good work!

We decided to go with Astro because it was a one-stop-shop for beautiful fixtures, tiles, etc... No need to run all over town looking for things. We met there with a wonderful designer who created a very detailed design for us - exactly to our taste and specifications and fitting the old and awkward space perfectly. We ordered all of the materials through them. I only wish we had hired them for the installation as well since the designer would have overseen the project and ensured our specifications were met. They were not. Lesson learned!
I wouldn't hesitate to go with them again.

I live in a condominium and this company was hired to replace all of the windows. On the day that the installation was meant to take place, the company called to cancel because of rain. I asked if they would install in the afternoon if the rain stopped (which it did) but was told that they didn't work that way.

The company didn't bother to call me to reschedule, I had to call them. They were difficult to reach, I left messages which they did not return. When I complained about the lack of customer service a manager promised to return my call and never did.

To add insult to injury, when I left my house the following day the installers were cooling their heals as the company had delivered the wrong windows and were in no hurry to correct their mistake.

The key message is, once this company has your money, they will not provide an acceptable level of service. I would never use this company again.

Astro did our custom cabinets and bar area in the past year or so and they promised the project would be done in four months and it ended up being six months. They sized the cabinets wrong initially and had to be re-ordered and the custom legs we ordered were also delayed. It may be due to the turnover of people.

We hired Astro through the home show and had them do two of our bathroom renovations. They were very efficient and any small mistakes we pointed out were fixed without question. It was a few years ago and have had them back to do some doors and smaller jobs which happily also did. Chris and Jeanette, Jimmy and Nick are all great to work with.

Astro provides exceptional design service, highly detailed and precise blueprints and high quality service people. Finished design looked great. The company has access to top quality items (fixtures, materials) and works with the client to find the right mix of design features.
