Astro Design Centre

These past couple months, I have worked specifically with Julia from Astro Design Centre. I can't really imagine working with anyone else. As a person she is warm, inviting, understanding and enthusiastic. As a professional designer, she is perfection. She takes your vision and turns it into real-life. I couldn't be happier with the work she has done. Thank you Julia for your constant efforts and incredible style!

I started thinking seriously about my bathroom renovations about 6 months ago and met several companies on my project. My bathroom needed a more modern and contemporary look but I wanted it to be still classic and elegant. In the end, I decided to go with Astro Design, as the designer, Marina Medina, was most helpful and wonderful to work with: not only was she attentive to my wishes but also she gave me practical suggestions. She understood my vision and assisted me all along the way . I highly recommend her and the team at Astro Design Centre.

We initially worked with Astro and Nathan as our designer for our kitchen reno in 2015. Nathan was very knowledgeable, professional and delivered us a design that responded to what we were looking for. We recently returned to Astro and Nathan again for our master ensuite reno. Again, very pleased with how things went and would not hesitate to use Astro and in particular, Nathan, for another project.

My husband and I approached Astro after an exhausting interview process with other kitchen renovation contractors. We just weren't finding a good fit with the consultants themselves, nor did we have have a shared vision of what we could achieve.

When we visited the Astro showroom, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt a sense of connection w our consultant/designer. We brainstormed w Marina about what we could and couldn't achieve in our space and with our budget. The process took some time but all big projects do. The time invested upfront to consider different materials, colours, and design elements paid off in spades. Marina guided us through this process very patiently and always had great suggestions when we had trouble making a decision.

The new kitchen is a perfect fit for our family and has truly changed how we live day to day, how we entertain and how proud we are of our home. It has been a great experience and I'm sure we will be reaping the rewards for years to come.

We decided to look into renovating our kitchen with Astro after reading their many positive recommendations, and we are glad that we did. We tend to have high expectations, and Astro met them.

Our designer is Julia, and she is terrific. She had excellent ideas, and all along the way, her attitude towards my ideas was, "This is your kitchen, and I want you to be happy". She understands who the end-user of the kitchen is, she strives to understand your needs, and she cares about your taste and your style. She is cheerful, competent, warm and respects her clients' wishes. She went above and beyond in fulfilling our requirements, and she designed a more gorgeous kitchen than I ever imagined possible. Julia listened to us and she really made sure we were happy with the final product.

Our installer, Kosta, was meticulous and detail-oriented. He did an excellent job, and also went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We feel very confident in his work. He was lovely to deal with, and a really gentle soul.

This business is well-run and obviously takes pride in their work and their reputation. They have a great team.

Pro tip: Right now, tangerine mastercard has a promotion giving 4% cash back on purchases made in three categories, for the first three months after receiving the card. Astro qualifies as one of the categories, I believe it was designated under "furniture".

Only when the decision to build a new house is made does one really appreciate the multitude of decisions that need attention in such a short space of time. This can be a stressful but yet it can also be an enjoyable experience. We are thankful that our building process was made "less" stressful by the partner contractors who all contributed to building our family home.
After meetings with a few cabinet/kitchen designers we struck a chord with Julia of Astro Design Centre. Julia was professional and pleasant from the onset which made us feel very relaxed during our many meetings to design and finalize our kitchen, ensuite, main bathroom and powder room plans. Julia was able to present to us exactly what we had envisioned these spaces to be.
Astro proved to be a convenient one stop shop for the complete project. Pricing was competitive and they supplied the quartz countertops, plumbing, tiles and hardware to complement their design plans.
The entire team at Astro (Nick, Emilio, warehousing, delivery, fabricators, accounting) were a pleasure to work with, each knowledgeable in their respective areas and exuded professionalism every step of the way.
We were thoroughly satisfied with Astro, so much so that they have recently completed our mudroom cabinet and a basement storage cabinet. We look forward to continuing our relationship with them to design several other spaces in our home for us.

We hired Astro to help us design a new kitchen. They helped us work within our budget, took the time to review the drawings and answer all questions and concerns. Comparatively speaking, I'm not sure anyone can beat them on expertise, knowledge, selection and customer service. Our kitchen is beautiful, functional - and also the designs allowed for more usable space. We want to work with them again for a bathroom project-budget permitting. Everyone from the Designer, the Back office, Warehouse, Delivery, Technicians, Carpenters and reception were professional, reliable, knowledgeable and quick to address our questions as the project moved along. After consulting with a number of companies we visited Astro’s showroom and for the first time we felt inspired and really excited about renovating our kitchen. It was great time to make our 20 year old kitchen a distant memory so we entered the world of kitchen renovations by researching and visiting local companies and the big box stores including the Swedish one. We chose “Astro Design Centre” based on our stringent criteria of design/quality/price/service and the solutions offered by our designer Dean Large to the challenge of the kitchen space.
Our ongoing relationship with designer Dean of “Astro Design Centre” months before the start date of the project included regular discussions about layout, style, material, colours, logistics and joint visits to granite suppliers. We must commend foremost Dean for the great design and also Emilio’s core team of Lyle, Dan and Kosta who did most of the actual work. Nick the owner, and Dean visited regularly to inspect the quality of work which reflected the blueprints.
Our relationship with “Astro Design Centre” and Dean’s vision has created a kitchen beyond our expectations, a kitchen with a WOW factor, the project completed on time and on budget. It was a very positive experience.
