If you’re considering any other company that is not JMT Roofing, forget about it now. I called a few other roofing companies (including others on this site) and it actually took at least 3 attempts to get them to call me back to provide an estimate. One of companies didn’t even bother to get up on my roof to take a look which to me always means to me there’s going to “extra work” above the estimate provided. I called John at JMT and he was on my roof the following day providing me with and estimate and with advice on what needed to be done and more importantly, what didn’t need to be done. He also provided a 15 year 100% guarantee on the roof (which was 50% more than the others). There was no upselling, his estimate was actually one of the most reasonable that I had gotten, and his estimate was exactly what I paid.
I also had my gutters replaced. Again, it was one of the lowest estimates and I paid exactly what was estimated. The only thing extra that he recommended was that I add some additional down spout drain boxes which catches debris as it comes down the spout before it clogs up your drain tiles.

These were installed at an extremely reasonable price. Leo, the guy who installed the gutters, also replaced some of the gutter fascia boards and even caulked up a few holes under the roof for free (I provided the material). It’s that kind of service and attention to detail that seems unheard of with any contractors these days that makes me want to recommend JMT everyone.

Wasn't looking forward to replacing my roof financially or as a household disruption. JMT staff were efficient, hard working, respectable folks who just made the big project quick and easy. Go for it!

Needed a roof replacement way sooner than I should have, the shingles lasting only 12 years. Needless to say I was very careful when scouting out both the shingles to use and the roofer to do the work. Of the 4 roofing companies I contacted John at JMT Roofing responded quickly and physically went up on the roof with me to inspect the old roof, gave me a estimate and how long it would take to do the job.
The crew led by Kieth showed up at the time the said they would and did a top notch job. They moved anything in harms way to safety and put everything back at the end of the day.
The Roof and Eve troughs look really great. The final price was exactly what John's estimate stated.

We needed our cedar roof and hidden gutters replaced. John gave us an estimate/quote and went over the whole job in detail with us. John and his crew delivered what they promised on schedule and on time. They were fantastic to deal with and the workmanship and service was second to none. I found JMT from Homestars for my parents' roof and they definitely lived up to the reviews I read here. I dealt directly with John, the owner of the company from the beginning and he was very diligent in following up with me to ensure there were no issues. He made sure to come out and check out the condition of the roof before he gave me his quote instead of giving me a quote based on just doing a google view search as a lot of other companies do. He made recommendations clearly not driven on pricing and his quote was reasonable, especially as he went out of his way to do other things not in the original scope to make sure things were done right, including repairing some of the work done by the original builders. He seems to genuinely care about providing the highest quality service and he even paid attention to details that were not related to his project and made recommendations for us. His crew were efficient and friendly and they kept the work site clean. The work was finished well on time, on budget. I will definitely call him back for more projects next year and will not hesitate to recommend him to others.

I was in dire need of a new roof as it was getting on to 23 years. I had cedar shakes and wasn't sure if I wanted the same or something else. I was referred to John at JMT by a friend who had their roof done by him but before I called him, I had a look at his website first and then Homestars. I called him in for a quote and he was absolutely the nicest roofer I have ever met. Nothing like what you hear. He was thorough and wasn't pushy. Took me through the whole process and explained what I needed and didn't need. I was sold. His crew was extremely polite and the clean up was impeccable every day. They never left any garbage or nails anywhere. After it was done, the roof looked amazing. When they left, my yard was cleaner than before they came! John and his crew are the best.
