Complete Scarborough bungalow renovation with the addition of a second story w/ 2 bedrooms & bathroom , cathedral ceiling living room, stone fireplace, steel & wood stairs. Structure of steel and Douglas fur. JT was great to work with! JT got our often out of the box ideas right away & helped us realize our journey to a great house.

Had a custom project for a garage with green roof. City of Toronto did not make the project easy in terms of requirements and Jim helped me jump through the various hoops.
he was always responsive and quick to assist. This included doing site visits on short notice to help get inspections complete or to ensure that all structural requirements were being properly met by the contractor.
I had to consult with him multiples times by phone as I was sorting through the city requirements and I did not feel like there was a timer ticking. He was very fair in terms of what he charged for advice along the way. If I didn't have his expertise, I likely would have abandoned the project because the city was making things very difficult. I would hire him again.
Cost was for the total cost of the project with reinforced cement slab and green roof.

James provided us with exemplary service. James had a refreshing approach to complex problems -- eager to think outside of the box, in order to come up with solutions that are cost effective, well-engineered and elegant. Aside from this he is very easy to speak with, and is a keen listener. I have everything good to say about James and appreciate the way he walked us through some very challenging times we faced due to the complexity of our project.

Jim was a great engineer to have on our project. He would not compromise his standards in any way. When our contractor let us down, Jim worked with us to achieve our goals in a simple and safe way. Without Jim's advice and dedication, we would have been up the creek with the city inspectors.
