I required testing of some vinyl til that was underneath the ceramic tiling in our kitchen. The quotation was provided in a very timely fashion and the testing was completed in a very short turnaround time as well. The persons completing the testing showed up on the date agreed upon and they were very professional. The testing results were provided to us the next day. I was very pleased with the service and process from start to finish and if I ever require this service again I would definitely use their services. Highly recommended !

Angelina and Vince came to assess the possibility of mold in my rental apartment. They were very professional, checked the kitchen and washroom, where the suspected mold was. A 12 page report received a few days later showed a high level of 3 kinds of mold in both locations. Angelina answered the many questions I had concerning the report - I had to move out as a result & have not been well since.

Healthy abode came to the rescue after we discovered the guys doing the electrical work at our 90 year old home were wearing masks as a precaution against asbestos. And we could instantly see why, despite the plastic barriers they had put up there was very fine dust coating all the floors and some of the other areas in the home. Unknown to us, the contractor was supposed to ask us to certify that the home was asbestos free BEFORE any work was started. Timing is everything as they say. We phoned up Healthy Abode on Friday evening when we discovered the situation. The labs would not be open on the weekend, so Healthy Abode offered to come out first thing Monday morning to take samples. We packed up the dog, the kids crashed at friends places and my wife, me and the dog spent 3 nights in hotels afraid to sleep in our own home. Monday morning Healthy Abode showed up a few minutes early. Took all the samples they thought we needed plus some additional ones we requested. Everything was logged, photographed and bagged. Totally professional. They expedited the delivery to the lab and we had our results for the asbestos testing the next day (lead paint a day or two later). Great news, no asbestos! Very little lead. Amazing. what a relief. DO NOT miss this very important step in any renovation. Asbestos is about as bad as it gets and can be hiding in wallboard, drywall tape, tiles, adhesive, window putty, concrete, you name it. Put your mind at ease. Call Healthy Abode and get your home tested BEFORE starting any work. Your family will thank you.

Sorry guys , bit late in giving review. I had vermiculite insulation and I received services from angelina and Vince in the month of September. It was a pleasure working with them. They came ontime, educate me about the asbestos, Took samples from my attic and wall. within 3 days i gotten results. Luckily i had my insulation was non contaminated. Good for us. From the start to end they were supportive and educative. 100 % recommend them for asbestos testing.

They were Nice, honest, knowledgeable and professional.

Angelina arrived with Vince to our first appointment as scheduled, a few days after I first contacted The Healthy Abode for mold testing. She explained how she would test for mold and her billing rates, visually inspected all of the rooms we suspected might have mold, and tested for airborne mold. The test results came back a week later with a detailed report and showed that we had some mold, but did not show exactly where it was.

I asked Angelina to come a second time to do a more thorough testing to localise the problem. In less than thirty minutes she found the problem behind some baseboard which Vince removed and sealed with tape until we could get a contractor to remove the affected materials properly. She also took some more samples to verify that a room HEPA filter I purchased was cleaning the air in one of the rooms that had airborne mold during the first tests.

After we remove the mold affected building materials and have some expert HEPA filtering, as she recommended in her report, we will ask Angelina to test a third time to verify that the air is clean.

I am very happy with Angelina's prompt and efficient service. She is very open to answer any questions and I spent half an hour talking to her after the first tests to decide how we will proceed to localise the source of the mold. I recommend her service for mold testing.

Angelina was very professional on the phone and prompt at returning call. She attended our property very quickly and completed sampling promptly as well. Results came back earlier than expected which was great. Highly recommend the professionalism and service received from this team!

Angelina and Vince did a great job. Having purchased a 100 year old house we were concerned about asbestos in the basement tile and plaster. They explained everything, tested probably more things then they should have and had results to us in a few days so that we could start the demo. Highly recommended!

Angelina and Vince stopped by the house to complete some asbestos testing. They did an amazing job (even with a Golden Retriever constantly in the way) and are very knowledgeable when it comes to the work they do. Always a pleasure to speak to about real estate, renovations, or even dogs.
