My wife and I hired recently hired Don to do the home inspection for the purchase our of first house. He was professional, thorough and upon learning we were first time home buyers, took the time to explain what he was looking for and what he had found. Not only did we get a great home inspection (which he did find a few issues), we also received a valuable education with many suggestions how to care for our new home. I had called several companies to get quotes for inspections of a new home I had purchased. Even on the phone before I had hired anyone, Don went out of his way to explain to me things I should be asking of a Home Inspector in terms of what qualifications and previous experience they have. Once hired, Don arrived early, and was extremely thorough. Once completed he made himself available should I have any questions or should I need any referrals for home services going forward. I would recommend Don for any inspections you require, I even made sure I got extra business cards so I could let co workers know about him. 10+!

I just wanted to add my comments to your page.
As a single mom and first time home owner coming from Europe this whole process seemed daunting. You spent a longtime during inspection; documenting everything. You spent time explaining the workings of the house and even talked me through seasonal check lists. You are proud of your work and it shows. The insurance broker required a copy of the report, I had a professional typed document the same day as the inspection which I simply forwarded via email. Your after service was great in helping me resolve some of the problems identified; enabling me to work with the existing homeowner to find an amicable solution.

Had a home inspection done by Don McKechnie, he is very thorough with the inspection and very good to deal with. He had found issues with the home and was knowledgeable, with solutions to rectify the problems.

We heard about POMHII through family who have used his services. My wife and I were very pleased with our home inspection. Don was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He inspected every little things inside and outside. After he was done we sat down and went through everything. I've heard stories about inspectors who do a poor job or miss certain things but Don was was great and didn't miss a thing.

I hired Peace of Mind Home Inspections (Don) because of the online reviews, I must say the online reviews are accurate. Don performed a very indepth inspection and found several concerns that I was not previously aware of.

We chose to hire Don based on his Homestars rating and we were very glad we did. He was incredibly thorough in his inspection and even noticed screws that were missing from the railing on the stairs to our deck!. After the inspection, he walked discussed his findings with us and made sure we were well-informed about everything he discovered. Later on that day, he provided a comprehensive report, complete with pictures. We were happy to refer him to our brother-in-law for his home purchase (who had equally good things to say about Don).

I had used POMHII on more then one occasion, and ABSOLUTELY LOVE the service i have received both times. Don it was a true pleasure to have you take a look at our home. It was amazingly detailed, and full of helpful suggestions to improve on, and I loved the way he prioritized the things that needed to be done right away and those that could wait!!!!
