Due to the reputation of homestars site I took no chances with going with other handy people but with highly rated contractors. I thought I was going with the best. The problem is that we were quoted $99 (as advertised) over the phone with no mention that it would go over. You would expect that the dishwasher is an easy install. The gentleman that arrived to install my dishwasher was professional but then all these hidden fees started to show up. We had to pay $40 dollars on top for 2 extensions, one for water intake and the other drain. I pointed out that the intake pipe extension came with the dishwasher, the guy quickly said no its the seal for that extension I am paying $20 and another $20 for the drain extension. I am very sure a seal is not worth $20. The second issue is that the electrical wire in the basement that goes from the electrical panel to the dishwasher on the main floor was not secured to the basement ceiling. You can easily trip on the wire. Its seems the guy forgot to secure the wire to the ceiling. And lastly all the mess from drilling and cutting was left on the kitchen floor as the guy again it seems forgot or was in a hurry to exit.
