We hired JC and his crew to complete our basement Reno this past fall. They did a fantastic job and was very accommodating when we wanted to make changes. We would hire them again for any future project.

I want to start off by saying "thankyou" to Johncarlo and his crew (Rob and Kyle). We are thrilled with the amazing work you guys did to transform our dingy, old bathroom into the showpiece of our home! If you're looking for a contractor who takes pride in his work and has integrity, look no further. What makes him stand out from other contractors is that he pays attention to the little details and never cuts corners, often taking initiative to make minor fixes, e.g., My wife and I had painted the office and brushed against the ceiling with the roller. We cleaned it up but you could tell where we botched it. Johncarlo noticed it and touched it up so that it's now unnoticeable...w/o being asked! It's things like this and the respect he has for your home (left spotless after each work day), that make him worth every penny. My only regret is that he will eventually become so popular on HomeStars that we'll have to book him a year in advance! lol Keep up the great work Johncarlo!!

We had a fantastic experience hiring Johncarlo and his team to renovate our basement. Johncarlo is professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He completed our basement on time and also accommodated additional work we added on while he was completing our basement. They did an excellent job renovating our kitchen. They were unobtrusive, always on time and easy to get a hold of. They took the time to answer our questions and were great with our kids. They are also very detail oriented, did things I would never have thought of to make everything look better. I will be calling them again for any major renovations and would recommend them to anyone.

I too would like to recommend Johncarlo from Ingenuity Contracting. He just completed a mudroom for us... Johncarlo was extremely professional, fast, tidy, flexible and he did excellent work (at a reasonable price!) - everything you could ask for in a contractor. We changed our mind on a couple small things along the way and he was very cooperative - fabulous customer service! We are just thrilled with the results and have asked him for a quote for some more work!

I never had a renovation done so smoothly and hassle-free as Ingenuity was able to do. My last 4 renos required lots of energy, but Ingenuity was able to help me from the planning phase through all following steps of the renovation without requiring lots of my time. Words as reliable, creative, high-quality, precise and detail-oriented could be used to describe their work. And, as the cherry on top, they are clean! I was expecting a big mess at home as I was living in the house while the basement got finished but it didn't happened - they are the cleanest contractors I've ever seen. I would definitely recommend Ingenuity to my family and friends.

We found Johncarlo on Homestars after calling in a few companies to quote on our reno project. The scope included drywall and ceiling fixes, painting, some plumbing, carpet replacement, and new hardwood flooring installation.

Johncarlo won our business for the following reasons:
1) He listened carefully and asked a ton of questions before quoting so that he was clear on our needs and expectations.
2) His quote was detailed and the price was well within our budget.
3) He offered cost-saving suggestions even before securing the job because he wanted to help us save money.
4) His estimated time allotment fit our schedule.

In terms of the actual project, Johncarlo did most of the work himself. We were extremely impressed with his attention to detail and he was also very clean and organized. When he did have a subcontractor come in, he was there to supervise the entire job. Overall, the work itself was delivered to the highest of professional standards and we were very satisfied.

Johncarlo also went above and beyond in terms of offering explanations and suggestions on preserving our new hardwood floors, preventing possible plumbing issues, and general home maintenance. He was patient and thorough, and walked us through everything.

The most impressive part of our entire experience with Johncarlo was our final meeting with him. We mistakenly overpaid him for his services and he must have noticed it as he drove away. He returned to the house immediately to give back the overpayment, and with a huge smile on his face, he said: “I think you guys may have given me too much money.” I mean, come on! Are you ever going to find a more honest, down-to-earth, professional guy?

Through our experience, we feel that Johncarlo’s professionalism and commitment to his clients is symbolic of his high standard of excellence. We highly recommend Johncarlo and Ingenuity Contracting and we will most definitely use this company again…and again…and again!
