Jim's Moving

This was the second time I've used Jim's Moving, and I only have GREAT things to say about them. Meredith and his team are pure professionals. From the first phone call to set up the move through to the follow up afterward, their attention to detail was obvious.

The team was efficient. They did an initial walk through, planned their approach, and then they HUSTLED! There was no wasted time or effort. They were exceptionally organized and coordinated in all aspects of the work.

I was so impressed with how polite they were despite unpleasant circumstances with my ex-landlord. She was nasty and truly unreasonable: she blocked their way, yelled at them, told them to get off her property, threatened to call the police for trespassing. Most notable through all this was mover Sean who diplomatically took point in dealing with her to buffer the team and me from her angry attacks.

This was a tough move for me. I was under doctor's orders not to lift anything heavier than ten pounds, so I couldn't do as much as I would have liked. The team stepped up to help with furniture disassembly / reassembly, they arranged boxes so I could easily unpack later, and they did some minor repairs for me too. There were no complaints with me changing my mind (repeatedly LOL) and saying "No, I think I actually want it over there, can you shift that around again."

The movers were careful and there was no breakage despite some less-than-ideal packing that had been done prior to their arrival. My china cabinet, a precious family heirloom, arrived without a scratch. My heavy (and I do mean HEAVY) oak dresser made it up the narrow stairs to my bedroom with no damage to dresser, walls, or to the movers. I held my breath on that one, but like I said these guys are pros!
