Moving can often be a gruelling process -- I've had to deal with surly, obnoxious movers in the past. I always cringe the day before moving! Thank goodness this will now be an experience in my past.

I had the most superb experience with Devote and his team at Around Town. They went out of their way to be courteous, thoughtful and paid careful attention to ensuring that my things were treated with respect. Not only that, but they are just terrific people who really made the move an actual pleasure! When can one say that about moving?!

I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them without any reservation whatsoever. Use them! You will not regret it. I will highly refer them to anyone who needs a trustworthy, truly competent and careful team to move. They are good people who really care about the people who they move.

We needed three heavy stainless steel appliances moved from Mississauga to Toronto. Devonte and his crew showed up on time and individually wrapped each of the appliances in a protective blanket with taping so they would not move in transit. When it came time to offload, the crew were very very careful in bringing in the appliances through our narrow doorways and placing them exactly where we wanted. Excellent service and communication. Would not hesitate using them again.

Devonte and Johnny showed up on time today and started working immediately. They were efficient, protected my mother's wood furniture with blankets, and ensured it was well strapped in the truck. Their focus and team work in moving a large number of items quickly was fantastic. The movers I used in the previous year cost significantly more and actual lost some of our items. This year the moving experience was completely different and a 180 degree shift to a happiness scale. Thanks for your help guys.....we'll be calling you again.

We recently used Around Town Moving and Delivery to move from a condo to a house. The movers arrived promptly and started work immediately. They had us packed up and moved into our new place in no time at all, even though it was an extremely hot August day. The two movers were courteous and efficient and they treated our possessions with respect. We will recommend Around Town Moving to our friends without reservation!

I had many moving experiences in Toronto with different others moving companies, but have never seen the professionalism and patience of these guyes. Well equipped and truly experienced. My parents are going to move shortly and I won't think towice to call them.

Devonte and crew were really great. They arrived a bit early and asked if we wanted to start or to wait. They were conscientious, respectful of time and very hard working. Devonte was meticulous about making sure things were packaged properly so they would not be damaged. He was very calm and extremely helpful in managing the move so that it was as efficient as possible. He had many positive suggestions for making the move more organized and was patient, focused and helpful in giving me ideas on how I might save some money. The crew moved quickly, was very strong and could easily disassemble, move and re-assemble the furniture. I could not have asked for a better experience. I had them come back to help me organize boxes to make a second move more efficient. This was a very worthwhile experience also since my stuff could not fit into my new smaller space. They were always pleasant, cheerful and understanding. I would highly recommend them and will used them againfor my next move. I read the homestars reviews and they were correct. No hesitation about the quality of their work and their ability to work with you to make a moving experience a positive one. Thanks again Devonte and crew. This is our 2nd time using Devonte and his team, and, like the first time, they are simply the best. Punctual, courteous and very careful with our belongings. I picked Around Town Moving & Delivery because of their simplicity and flexibility. Competitive rates, no hidden fees, no small charaters, etc... They seemed simple and they are ! When they showed up, on time (fantastic!), I felt right away that everything was professionally taken in charge. Such a stress relief! They know their business. Around Town & Devonte was a life saver for me. I moved a 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor to a 2 bedroom basement apartment in a house.

I had originally booked another mover to move my girlfriend and her mom, but was unhappy with the contract, when I asked the company to revise it and resend it, they never did, nor did they take or return any of my numerous calls. I happened to come across Around Town on homestars and called them 2 days before they had to move! I spoke to Devonte personally and explained my story of how the original movers bailed on me. He immediately said he would take the job and being able to read me well he even said "you sound like a nice guy so I'll help you out and do your move". I was relieved that he was able to fit me in on short notice. He quoted me a reduced rate of $60/hr plus 1 hr for travel time - no additional or hidden costs. And true to his word there were no additional or hidden costs.

Moving day came and Devonte called to inform me that the move right before our move had delayed him as the client had nothing packed properly. Lesson to all - please help out your movers and your wallet by having all your stuff properly boxed and labelled and setup so that the movers can just pick it up, load and go. I was glad that he called me - shows alot of professionalism.

They showed up and did exactly what Devonte had explained over the phone. They assessed the pick up location and I did not have to sign any contract or pay any deposit before they lifted a single box. They loaded the boxes and furniture with alot of care and wrapped the items that needed to be wrapped in moving blankets. The delivery at the new location was a breeze and unloaded very quickly. At the end of the move there were no major damages to any of my stuff or broken glass. Which I'm very grateful for. I also did not have to sign or pay any additional fees for them to unload.

As a testament to their high quality/excellent pricing and efficiency we hired them on the spot for the very next day to help us move some additional boxes that did not make it in the first move. They came the next day on time and did exactly what they said they would do. Again with no additional or hidden fees.

Honestly speaking Around Town is the best moving company I've used. And I've used a few in the past. They are reliable, honest and trustworthy. There are no deposits, no additional or hidden costs. Just a solid company with great people behind it.
