Drew and Jan were recommended to me by a friend and it was an awesome recommendation. They are a great team! I love my kitchen and so happy with the cupboards (IKEA) which Drew took the time to work with :) Very kind, very approachable, they were always there to answer any questions and assist me in making decisions. It was my first experience with a renovation and I think it went extremely well. Did i mention I love my kitchen? I would definitely recommend Drew and Jan (Gordmay) without hesitation. Of course my floors are the next to be finished .. just waiting for warmer weather :)

We called upon Gordmay Construction to deal with a water penetration issue that had arisen on a single storey addition to the house. The installation of a deck 30 years ago, and the absence of appropriate flashing had led to a gradual and chronic deterioration of the rim joist and kneewall in two main areas, including a significant infestation of carpenter ants.

Drew and Markus were able to assess the situation and come up with a strategy which could be done with a minimum of disruption to the household. Their diligence to address these issues and to uncover the underlying cause revealed additional deterioration in other adjoining areas, which could have gone unresolved if they had only reacted to the damage that was readily apparent.

Despite the effective doubling in scope to these repairs, the work was fast and thorough, and restored these structural elements to a “better than new” condition. The team was great for keeping us apprised of progress and in being cost conscious for us, as the extent of this damage was all but invisible until things got underway.

We cannot overstate the quality of workmanship in carpentry that Markus brought to bear on this, and can highly recommend him for any situation. His unflappable and quiet nature brought an air of tranquility and optimism to a very uncertain situation. Drew and Markus and Jan were a delight to work with, and we highly recommend their services.

Outstanding quality of service and professional craftsmanship. From the start, the team of Gordmay Construction (Jan and Drew are the dynamic duo) were organized, thorough, knowledgeable and most of all dependable. Snow storm day? No problem. Tough job? No sweat. 1000 lb beam to be moved down a tiny basement window? Ok, Drew is on it (of course with a wee bit of help from his merry men).

My project was no small project with a few challenges (from redoing the whole attic, redoing the flooring, to installing structural beams from poorly written architectural drawings) Drew and his team were on the ball throughout the project. Jan is the "warden" of the team - and does a fantastic job of ensuring that all projects are done in a timely, efficient and CLEAN manner. When Gordmay is on the job I have little to worry about.

I have a very busy schedule and don't often have time to write a review...but I definitely feel Gordmay is worth the time. They are worth your time.
