We recently completed a major renovation project of an older home in Toronto (East York). Monarch was one of several companies that we brought in to provide a quote for the project, and although several were well qualified, what impressed us with Monarch was their full service approach and long-standing reputation for excellence and high standards.

Make no mistake - this was a challenging project and was beyond the scope of a typical kitchen or bathroom renovation in a more recent subdivision home, and Monarch managed and executed the project very well.

From the very outset, Monarch's designer Janet was hands-on and very involved in working with us to choose finishes that would suit our design sense. At the same time, she created original designs for challenging spaces that were frankly masterful and which we don't believe others would have been able to execute on our behalf.

What made our experience with Monarch so incredible wasn't just the general quality of the work (which was high), but their accessibility, communication and punctuality. All trades and components were meticulously scheduled and organized by Monarch, and always showed up when they were supposed to. When issues arose that resulted in delays, these were thoroughly explained and action plans implemented. Additional costs were discussed prior to work, alternatives considered, and any fees meticulously invoiced and tracked. As I was coordinating many other trades as part of the overall project, Monarch's back office support was invaluable, especially the ongoing coordination from Kelly and Melissa. It truly felt as though I had access to a whole team of specialists on any issue that arose.

Make no mistake, issues did come up, as they will on any project. Nevertheless, Neil, Monarch's principal, was able to visit the site several times per week during construction and usually called me with updates and to discuss issues and changes well before I had a chance to. He was also always available and responsive - and what issues that emerged did not go unresolved for long! They stand by their work and don't hesitate to make sure that problems that come up after completion are dealt with.

Above all else, Monarch performed a challenging and changing renovation to a high degree of quality and with exemplary support and communication. At a cost that is competitive with many of their competitors specializing in bath & kitchen renovations, Monarch is an outstanding choice for a home of any age.

We needed our main bathroom updated - we wanted a walk-in shower and to make the room more modern/contemporary. We also wanted to add in a grab bar for safety reasons, to have insert bath shelves as opposed to a shelving unit and a small bench. We had previously had Monarch in to do a kitchen, laundry room, hallway reno and were extremely pleased with their work, professionalism and care that they took so we did a "repeat business" and we are completely satisfied.

Jackie (designer) understood our vision of what we were looking for in our new bathroom. She offered us several ideas and designs.
The technicians from the various trades were very efficient and friendly. They arrived as scheduled. The finished product exceeded our expectations. Monarch staff kept us up to date of any schedule changes and advised us of product deliveries.

We hired Monarch Kitchen & Bath Centre and designer Janet Dawson to Help us renovate our kitchen. We are thrilled with the renovation, the new kitchen has improved our standard of living.

Process started out ok ended in a nightmare. Monarch install our oven fan ~ 3years ago and it just fell off the wall. They installed a 80lb hood fan with 3 screws into the drywall!

My family hired this company last year to help renovate our kitchen, including the cabinets and countertops, and I must say that they're probably one of the best companies around in this department. The design was very innovative, the quality of its products were excellent, the staff were nice and engaging, and the project was orderly and completed on time. Everything they done is worth the price. However we feel the best part about them is the customer service. Niel, the president of Monarch even personally visited our house to make sure everything fits the design and even provided helpful tips to make the finished kitchen work at its utmost potential. Last year we experienced a minor problem with the cabinet knobs, but Niel and his team immediately responded to our concern and replaced them entirely at their cost. Go with them, and you won't regret it.

We LOVE everything about our new kitchen and laundry room, and all of the other main floor renovations Monarch did for us. Everyone who visits is equally impressed with the quality, and even more amazed when we tell them that Monarch delivered the entire project on time and on budget! When finally we decided to renovate much of our main floor early this year, we considered several alternatives: Everyone from a single contractor who would bring in the trades as needed, to designer-contractor partnerships, to turnkey companies. After meeting with Kevin in Monarch's beautiful showroom, and visiting one of their recent projects just around the corner from us, we felt confident Monarch was our best choice. Now that the project is done, we're convinced we made a great decision! From design to project completion, everyone on their team was great to work with. We especially appreciated the care their installers took to keep our home as tidy as possible during the project. It's never fun to live in a construction site, but they made it as painless as possible for us. We also found their showroom to be incredibly convenient. With Kevin's expert guidance...and patience...we were able to make all of our decisions about tile, cabinet material, colours, fixtures, etc., without having to drive all over the city! That was a major time saver for us. We are very thankful we chose Monarch and have already referred the company to several friends who are thinking about similar renovations. In fact, we'd recommend Monarch to Anyone!

We are very happy with our bathroom renovation completed by Monarch Kitchen and Bath Centre. Our project was completed on budget and on time. The couple of minor issues that arose were quickly resolved. Everyone we dealt with at Monarch was friendly and responded promptly to questions/issues during the project. The project schedule was provided in advance and they were very good at confirming times when technicians were expected to arrive.

We gutted our house in January ,2011. We used Monarch to design and install new cabinets in our house. Marion did the design for the kitchen. She is so creative and talented as a designer. Marion helped transform our small enclosed kitchen into an open bright space with more cabinet space than we can use.

The kitchen was installed on time. We had an issue with the crown moulding falling down. Both times we contacted Monarch they were quick to respond to and correct the problem. I was impressed because the last time we had a problem with the moulding Neal replaced all of our moulding with brand new moulding, no questions asked.

Our kitchen is beautiful.
