Derrick and the team from Gecko projects were amazing to work with. Gecko built a double car garage for us in NW Calgary. We had a great experience working with them and I would highly recommend them.

Communication was easy, efficient and straightforward. Derrick was always easy to reach and happy to answer any questions we had.

Derrick was flexible and worked with us to make sure that our building schedule worked well for us. The garage was built quickly, efficiently and well. We are very happy with the final result. We are very satisfied with the quality and care taken in building our garage.

Although a bit more expensive than the few other builders we looked at, you definitely get what you pay for. We have only had the garage for a few months and can always see the difference the quality of building materials can make.

Once the garage was built, we had a minor issue with some flashing/troughing. Derrick came out right away to look at the issue (which none of us could figure out the cause of). The issue was fixed within the next day, without a problem.

We were very impressed with Derrick and his team's dedication, efficiency and dedication to getting the job done right.

For anyone looking to build a garage, I highly recommend Gecko.

From our Initial contact with Derrick to the after build follow up, Derrick went above and beyond to answer any questions we had and to accommodate us. He is the most friendly, personable and honest contractor we have worked with and without question we would recommend Gecko projects to build your garage. Derrick was hands on with his crew during the whole build and they only build your garage once they start. Never multiple projects going on. We hired Derek after reading his reviews of previous customers. We appreciated how quickly he communicated with us, from coming to give us a quote and throughout the building process. If we had questions he responded quickly to our emails. We were lucky to have been able to start our garage early, when Derek had an opening we appreciated being asked if we wanted to start early. His crew kept the work area very clean every day. They even fenced off a small part of the yard for our dog. We were very impressed with how quickly the garage went up, Derek’s coordination with the city made the project run smoothly. We will definitely refer Gecko projects to anyone wanting a garage.

Oversize double garage build. From planning to concrete, to completion Derrick and his team were excellent. Very hard working crew that completed the build in under two days. If you want a quality garage built better and quickly give them a call.

We hired Derrick and team to build us a 24 x 24 detached garage. As many other reviewers have said, it truly was a painless process working with Derrick. He set our minds at ease, knowing he knew exactly what he and his team were doing. It was amazing to see how fast it went up, and we were very happy with everyone on our property that we came into contact with. Throughout the build, we received many compliments from neighbours of how fast it went up, and quality of build (from neighbours' who work in construction). Overall very happy, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to build a garage in the Calgary area.

We recently had a garage built by Derrick and his company and we could not be happier with the finished product. Everything that was communicated to us; from the estimate, to the start date and time and completion date was exactly as promised. The entire structure was completed in one day (minus the garage door as the building inspection had to be completed), the site was left cleaner than before they arrived. We highly recommend Derrick and his company; they were professional and very friendly throughout the process.

from the start to the finish this garage build was truly an amazing experience , every correspondence was answered quickly and in a friendly manner , the workmanship was exemplary , resulting in a garage in just over a day , the team was punctual , professional and extremely efficient , all my dealing were with the company owner who is a real gentleman , a stress free , well priced , excellent product in the fastest time ever , all i can say is a big THANK YOU GECKO !

Derrick and crew were awesome. We ended up getting the garage complete a month ahead of schedule, and were able to customize a few things the other builders wouldn't allow. Our yard was cleaned up (nicer than it was before!) after they were finished, and the construction seems really solid. If we had room for more garages, we'd definitely use Gecko again!

Derrick and his team provided exceptional service from beginning to end! I have dealt with a LOT of contractors over the years, Gecko has set the bar at what a great contractor looks like! Quick, open, honest, & trustful communication all through the project, very professional all the way, garage was built sooner than promised, and just as all their reviews state, when they show up, they only leave once completed. Concreted team came in, 2 days left, following week Derrick and team came in, 2 days later gone, all cleaned up, brick, eves, and garage door guys showed up days later, to which we were well informed of when each would arrive. Extremely happy with our new garage, cannot say enough good about Derrick and team! Excellent job guys ! thx so much, you made this stress free and very easy!

My wife and I had started sourcing builders for a garage earlier this year. Over the course of many weeks, we had assessments completed and were provided quotes from builders that were not within our budget. We managed to get Gecko (Derrick) out for a look at our project and he was able to provided us very competitive numbers for the work. We hired Derrick and his team based on the feedback we got from HomeStars and his professionalism in person. Once the work started on our garage, it was amazing how quickly they put everything together. Derrick is not the usual cut of tradesman we've dealt with before. He was on top of the project start to finish, regularly communicated with us to provide us details of the build, and was very courteous the entire time. Workmanship was amazing. I admitted to Derrick that I was originally planning to build it myself from a garage package. Now that I've seen the work involved, I would not have had the same results. :) Thoroughly happy with the experience and quality of work. Well done, and I'll gladly recommend Gecko again!
