Repeating customer here. It's our third time working with Bill and team. Feel free to check my previous comments for all the great things they've done with us. I would say when calling Bill, it's like I am guaranteed a "worry-free" experience. This is a group of professionals who know what they are doing, take proud of their work and deliver excellent customer experience.

A few things I would like to highlight from our most recent experience. First, Bill & team does think like a customer and manage priorities/scheduling pretty well. This year when I call Bill, initially it was for a "nice to have" project that, eventually, it turns out I don't need any sooner. At that time, Bill let me know they will include me in the queue and drop by when they are nearby. I agree as it's nothing urgent. After some time, one day I suddenly noticed there is a yellow stain on the ceiling, under the flat roof. I sent Bill the picture, let him know I need to change the project, and that's when things start to move on pretty fast. Bill and his guy drop by shortly, quickly check the flat roof and Bill also kindly revisit the shingle roof his team did two years ago. Within like 15 mins, I got everything I need. Bill confirmed the shingle roof is all good, flat roof does need work and provide me the quote. We decide to move on. Bill managed to have a team came in the next week, once the weather permit. Again, a hard-working team got the flat roof complete and clean up within one day. It's clear to me that Bill work with a great sense of customer care, understand what can wait and what can't, and make thing happen when there is a problem requiring immediate attention.

Another great example of "think like a customer" is how they help with the design. When Peter and Bill came to measure for the mini fence, they asked what's my thought about the new one. Well, I don't know. All I can say is, maybe like the old one. Then during our conversation, I explain I was always nervous when I saw that old, fragile fence holding a large pile of snow in winter. They say, no worries. And yes, "no worries" with the result. The well crafted little fence Peter built not just looks very nice, but also strong and solid. Looking at that fence, I am confident it will survive many winters with whatever snow storm.

Last but not the least, these are hard-working folks, heads down and focus on their work. The afternoon they install the new flat roof, I didn't realize there are still 5 folks working up there, until I went out of a walk. With Peter, when he made us the new fence and railing, he was so quiet that we didn't realize when he arrives and leave. They also clean the site very well, even if they will come back the next day. Like I said at the beginning, Bill, Peter and the team definitely know what they are doing and take proud of their work.

We hired an HVAC company to replace our furnace and they said the new one would fit in the concrete and brick footing it was on. It didn't fit and the HVAC guys tried to remove the footing and failed, stopped work and left us without HVAC in mid June. I called around and found Fairney and Sons as a local business with a good reputation.

Bill came over for a quote and offered for a little more effort and minimal extra cost to remove the entire footing, including the part the water tank sat on, and to seal the basement wall that appeared to be incomplete. Other contractors wanted double the cost and could not give me a reasonable timeline. Bill gave me the earliest and latest start time knowing being without HVAC in the summer was of a concern to me and my family. They were definitely a company that managed their crew scheduling.

We were lucky when Bill was able to move around his projects to start and finish ahead of schedule, all on budget too. The work they did was fast and quality. They also treated our new water tank with great care.

We will be keeping Fairney and Sons in our rolodex for our future home improvement and repair needs.

Bill and his team did an excellent job. The work was done quickly and efficiently, we were kept informed at all stages of the job with pictures on the roof as well as frequent updates via text and phone calls. The site was left and clean afterwards.

This is the second time we've used Fairney & Sons. The first time was a few years ago for a patch on the roof when we had a leak, and Bill came right away to make sure our roof was fixed. I recommend him, and would definitely contact him for any future work that we need done.

The work is always of an excellent quality and this latest job looks amazing. Super happy with it. Bill and his crew replaced both our sloped and flat roof. They were so kind, helpful, and considerate and their workmanship was excellent. They got the work done when they said they would and it looks amazing. They kept us updated every step of the way. We are going to ask them to renovate the interior of our house when we are ready. 12/10 would definitely recommend.

I hired Bill and his team to renovate the front of my home (new walkway, new stairs, new flower bed, new deck railings and house painting). I lived in my home for 11 years and have never been happy with how the exterior of my home looked. Bill and his team made the curb appeal of my home the best on the street. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful it is. Bill is a delight to deal with, he is honest and straightforward. His advice is sound. The individuals he hires to perform the work are professional and kind. They show up every day and work so hard! I will hire Bill and his team for every project I have!

I experienced a major flooding in my basement and was referred to Bill by a neighbour who used his services for exterior waterproofing. The initial recommendation was to proceed with exterior waterproofing, however, the issue was so bad that we couldn't wait until April to proceed.
Recognizing the severity of the situation, Bill had his crew in the following day and proceeded with the interior waterproofing. The crew was efficient, polite, prompt, clean and left my basement in the exact same condition as it was initially (minus the water :)) Bill also completed all documents required for the submission of a sump pump rebate.

We discovered some wet walls in the basement of our new house and instinctively called Bill. He stopped by right away for a look and gave us a couple of different options for how to remedy the moisture problem. We opted to do the full basement and Bill supported us every step of the way. The waterproofing crew were courteous, hardworking, and punctual. The finisher is the ultimate craftsman, was easy to work with and helped us come up with some great creative solutions to make the most of our space. Bill clearly communicated any issues that came up and was always cognizant of our overall budget. We've worked with Bill in the past but never for such a big job. We are thankful to him and his knowledgeable tradespeople: our basement is now dry as a bone and is the greatest hang-out space for our family.
