Your Action Movers

I would like to personal recommend ‘Your Action Movers’. Robert gave me a quote over the internet and knowing that I was stressed about the move, he offered to drop by to meet us and walk through our home. During that visit he assured me how he was going to take care of our items, and that he would be at the house on time (as we have all heard nightmare stories)
He honoured his original quote despite the fact that the move took longer than planned. It was a tough day and we were moving from Whitby to Barrie. Robert Jason and the other guy worked nonstop, despite the heat and our large heavy furniture. The guys were very helpful and polite and although we are still unpacking, so far we haven’t found any damages (and I don’t think we will as they wrapped everything very well)
Moving can be one of the most stressful things to go through as a family, especially the actual moving day. I really appreciate all the hard work the three of them did, and how it made the move much less this stressful.
I would personally hire then again, although I have no intentions of moving for a long time, but I would highly recommend them

We liked the idea of the Flat Price which was very competitive and had the ceiling which we liked because one never knows with Toronto area traffic or December weather heading north. Robert and Hamed were punctual and very courteous and friendly. They were very hard working and were constantly on the move. The crew arrived on time. They are exceptionally organized. They packed all of our delicate furniture, clothes and electronics with such great care. I was surprised by their speed of work. They loaded the truck very fast then reassembled all the furnitures perfectly. The fees were extremely reasonable. This company is reliable, honest and absolutely trustworthy. We had the pleasure of having Robert Avery at Your Action Movers move us from Sudbury to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Robert and his assistant Hamed started their day in Toronto, were in Sudbury by noon, packed up our possessions and moved us into two separate locations in Niagara, all in a day’s work concluding at 2:30 a.m. It was an exceptionally long day for my wife and I and we were not doing any heavy lifting! I was awestruck at their efforts, efficiency and effectiveness, all while being consummate professionals with a sense of humour. Following unpacking, we were elated to discover that nothing had been broken, damaged or otherwise in anything less than its original condition prior to the move.

As consummate professionals (an ER doctor and university professor), we value nothing but the highest quality work. Your Action Movers exceeded our expectations and were simultaneously very affordable, a rare marriage in today’s society.

We hired Your Action Movers to move us from Oshawa to Delhi. The move was done professionally and efficiently. We were given a flat rate which was very beneficial to us as we are on a fixed income. Robert and his crew were very polite and courteous.They were very careful with our belongings and made sure that everything was wrapped and secured. It was the smoothest move we have ever had!!

I have been wanting to write this review for quite sometime to educate others about the horrible experience I had with these movers. My family moved from Aurora to Dundas in 2011. We wanted to hire movers to eliminate the frustration of moving. We had 3 moving companies come out and quote and in the end, we chose action movers as they were right in the middle of the pricing and they seemed very friendly and educated. Robert from Action Movers came to our house for the evaluation. This is when they look at all of your stuff to determine size of truck, how many people are required and time in order to determine a price. Robert thoroughly looked through our house and we accepted their offer. I explained to Robert that my son had a play centre in the back that I had hired someone to take apart and that I would rent a truck to take the playhouse to Dundas, On the day or the move, this is where it all went downhill. Robert showed up with his 2 helpers and looked at our furniture and boxes and accused of of hiding furniture when he did his evaluation. The truck he brought was obviously too small and it was clear right from the start that this was going to be a very long day. We got the truck loaded and before Robert left, he constantly complained that he was over weight and that they would have to avoid MTO weigh scale stations to avoid being fined. At the time, I was not aware that Robert had double booked himself that day and was trying to hurry so he could get to his second move. When we arrived in Dundas, Robert refused to unload the truck unless payment in full was paid. I have since learned that this is common practice within the moving community. As they were unloading the truck, Robert loaded up dolly's and proceeded to dump them on to our brand new hardwood floors without any concern whatsoever. Now, you will recall earlier that I had rented a truck to move my sons play centre. Well, Robert decided that once the truck was unloaded, he would leave a guy with me to move the remaining items at the house. None the less, I had to load up the little truck I rented 3 times before the move was done. Robert blamed it all on my hiding furniture and boxes when he did his evaluation. I looked into small claims court against them as phone calls to the company were not responded to. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Moving is hard to begin with but this sucked the joy out of moving into a new house altogether. Go elsewhere and you will be happy that you did...

Your Action Movers were fantastic on every level. At a time when I was having a nightmare with my previous movers and the group storing my property, AbbeyWood Moving, Robert showed that there are some class acts out there. It was a cheap service, it was quick and Robert and his guy were a good laugh to spend a morning with. Robert was so honest that he even charged me for less than the estimate because we had completed the task quicker than thought. To be honest I wouldnt have noticed if he had charged the estimate, but he said, by the way we were an hour less than estimate so you only owe me $470.

I had Your Action Movers move me on Thursday 19 September. Robert ensured that I was happy with the move. Robert will address any issues you have if there are any.
