Eavestroughs

Royal Crown Aluminum is one of the most unprofessional companies I've had to deal with. I chose Royal Crown based on HomeStars ratings and am very disappointed with my selection. They came in the Spring to replace our Eavestroughs and during the process they damaged one of our screen windows. They said they could fix it so we made the trip to their offices and dropped off our screen. That was MONTHS ago and ever sense then they have been ignoring ours numerous calls. Every time we call the receptionist assures us that someone is following up and will call us shortly. One week goes by and nothing happens. Very unprofessional company. I would not recommend them. Its been several months and still no resolution.

Company Response

Hi Mona,

We apologize for the screen and we are working on resolving the issue.
Please do not deem us an unprofessional company. Our quality of workmanship does not deserve the rating you have provided our company. Your eavestrough installation has no issues, we did the work on the day that you requested and cleaned up.
The screen was replaced and ready for pick up in a timely fashion as we agreed and no one replied to our emails or phone calls. Our office underwent renovation and the screen was misplaced and we have tried locating it but because of that we are offering you a new screen.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but our installer has been in touch and will take measurements this week.

Thank you,

Royal Crown Aluminum

Royal Crown was the only company that I could find that would services Durham region. They communicated well with me on the process. They came very quickly to measure and were very quick with installing the railings. The technician that came was very respectful, efficient, and very clean. My house looks wonderful now.

Gutter, Siding, soffits and Fascia replacement

We chose Royal Crown based on their reviews and started with a simple gutter, soffit and fascia job. We then decided to add a full siding replacement to our project

Eni was very accommodating coming out on a Sunday to discuss and measure the extra siding component of our renovation.

Once we agreed to the full price this job was started within one week .this had me worried thinking how come thy can so quickly start a job. I was so wrong . Lee and Daniel did a great job, even gave me advice on how to buy a gable vent.that had not been added to the job material.

So why did I gave a 9 not a 10 because new soffit light fittings holes had to be recut.

Eni should ensure his crews get soffit saws to make nice circular cuts not do it by hand, Also one aspect of the work, gable vents should have been brought up in Eni's discussion about the work required.

Despite this two small issues I ma very happy about the job and my neighbours compliment us on the work done.

Dear reader,
I am writing this review to warn you as a customer to do your research before hiring this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone after what I have experienced over the past year and still to this date my problems are not solved and never will be solved with this company. They gladly took my 6000.00 dollars but forgot what customer service is. They lack customer service skills and also having people who are knowledgeable for installing their products. My story is very long and very upsetting. It started August/September of 2014.
They lack customer service. They installed porch columns first-they sent one person who never installed them before. Thank god I was home to help this kid because he knew nothing. As he installed the product, he scratched and damage the product that I paid for. I paid them and know I will need to deal with problems every year. Then they installed two gates and two side panels. OMG!! They came on a day that I was going to work and they installed these gates terrible. They were crocked with gaps every where and nothing lined up. This was in October and during the winter, I could not even open the gates. They were installed poorly. In February, the gates fell off the wall and were damaged. I called and sent pictures. After constantly reaching the company, Blair, project manager came to see for himself. He was stunned to see what poor craftsmanship was done. He told me that it would be fixed and he explained how it would be done but he did not mention anything about the panels and gates that are now damaged and scratched if he was going to replace them or even give me some money back. Well the came and fix the gates again when I was not home and OMG it is worse than the first time. More damage to the gates , more paint damage and scratches, the list is too long.
I tired again to contact the company with emails and sent pictures to show what they did and nothing was done. I tried on last time on June 1,2015 to make contact and I was told that there is new management and they do not know where anything can be done but she will find out and let me know. I have heard nothing since and I am tired and upset not to call any more. I lost a lot

Royal Crown Aluminum did an emergency call for fascia that was ripped off my gable during a wind storm. The aluminum pieces were hanging by what looked like 1 simple screw and bashing against my windows.
The installers did a fantastic job, they installed all new fascia and it looks great!

Thanks guys!

New soffits, fascia, eavstroughs and downspouts

This is the second project we have hired Royal Crown Aluminum for, and can't say enough good things about this company. First off, their customer service is impeccable. The estimator, Dorian is one of the most friendly and reliable people I have come across in this industry. Dorian was available any time I had questions about the project and guided us throughout the entire process, making appropriate recommendations when necessary. And Alex in the office was super friendly and efficient in booking and organizing the project.

The actual work involved a somewhat complicated job as there needed to be some retro-fitting done around our windows. But the team managed to problem solve and everything came together perfectly. The new soffits/fascia look fabulous on the house and we are very impressed with the detailed work. I would not hesitate to recommend or use this company again!

Downspout Replacement

Royal Crown recently replaced 4 downspouts at my house. The work is spot on and they colour-matched the downspouts to my existing eaves-troughs perfectly. The crew finished their work on time and cleaned the work site thoroughly. I am quite pleased and would recommend Royal Crown to anyone. Thanks!

Railing installation

The company's quote was in line with several other companies that came highly recommended on Homestars. The difference was they custom manufactured my railings to the specific lengths of my porch sides, reducing the number of fence posts (but keeping within building codes), so the look is clean. Scheduling was a bit of a problem, but waiting for their service was worth it. The workers came, were polite, did a great job of installation (I was worried about cracking the flagstone but no problems), and clean up was thorough. You could tell the workers were meticulous, measuring and adjusting to get the railings to line properly. I will also be having the company cap the wooden frame of my garage door in aluminum. Thanks to Valbona for her help in setting up the appointments. Thanks Homestars for helping me find another another great company.
