Dormaster

Called a company to have spring replaced, was quoted $245 over the phone, but they couldn't come on Xmas eve, so I called Dormaster and they were available. When he arrived he indicated that the springs both needed to be replaced, the cables, the end bearing plates, the bottom door brackets, and both rollers. The "Package Deal" was $600.00! Quite a bit different than the $245 I was quoted. I could have waited 2 weeks, and took a chance with the other company, but the repairman said they would recommend the same sort of things and it would cost just as much. I likely got totally ripped off from what it sounds like, but I was pretty desperate and had the cash. Beware.

UPDATE: After leaving this review, A.J. from Dormaster called me, he asked about the negative review and proceeded to indicate that my warranty was now void and to never call them again. He also threatened to try to pursue me for unpaid funds, presumably thinking that since I paid cash, no tax, that I would have no way to prove it, except for the receipt which in itself was confusing and indicated a charge of $600.00 followed by a refund of $600.00 for a total of $0.00 HST and $0.00 owing. I would strongly discourage dealing with this company.
