Hired Top line to renovate basement. We had great difficulties with the owner and sole employee of the company. Promised much and rarely delivered when he bothered to show up. We had constant delays, no plans and always needed more money, and did not spend the funds as discussed. Quality of workmanship on some aspects was stellar (framing and Sheetrock) but inconstant in just about everything else from floors to paint. The owner seems to have a inordinate amount of personal issues resulting in the project that was supposed to be completed in Sept 2010 still going through July 2011 when we fired him. Quality is not evident, and much of the project remained incomplete even with a major cost overrun and endless promises to get it done every month. He also deviated from concept with unapproved side projects and material purchases which wasted time and money, adding no value, and which have to be redone. This project was originally posted at 12,000 and came in nearly 17,500. He works solo as a jack of all trades and clearly a master of little. Beware!!!
