Driveway excavation, driveway pavement, pathway, and front porches
I have recently completed a large landscaping project with Burl-oak landscaping which I had saved for some time. I was nervous to start the project since it was a large expenditure, but Mark made excellent recommendations to get the look I wanted with a balanced budget. Mark has been extremely reachable and provided excellent customer service before and during the project; and throughout the project Mark showed up on the job until it was virtually completed; I appreciated his time very much as he also meets with customers for new projects.
Louay is a driven individual that is well experienced. As the project progressed, Louay lead his agile team to make things work out fast despite some surprises when they excavated. This required changes in the material, for which Louay made excellent recommendations. Also, they were very careful to protect tree roots. Though every individual showed care about their work, I got the sense that they were in a rush. During the project, I noticed certain things; I provided input which I think was taken seriously only when I persisted on it. The site was not as clean as I had hoped after the project completed with small and larger gravel stones on the lawn. I recommend that all arrangements be explicitly written in the contract for best outcome for buyer and seller and not rely on any verbal agreements to avoid misunderstandings. Though we had some misunderstanding, Louay came on the last day to make sure any concerns that I had were addressed to my satisfaction.
The finished product looks great and I hope it will be for years to come; neighbors are complementing it already and are amazed at the speed it was done. Thank you Burl-oak team and best of success in future projects.

Thank you for the review. We as a company have a fine balancing act to achieve regarding the timing of all projects. Since we do not bill clients on an hourly basis we are constrained by the budget. Meaning that if we take too long on a project it can quickly spriral from profit to loss within a matter of hours. On the other hand we deal with clients who do not want us at their place for long because of the huge amount of construction that goes on so we are rushed, and then there are clients who want us to take our time and not rush anything. As you can see sometimes this will cause some constraints and friction but this is natural. As for the items you had mentioned during the project, this is common, but we tend to do a very thorough sweep at the end of any project and fix what needs to be fixed then. It is time consuming and not very efficient to constantly be stopping what we are doing to fix minor things. i hope you can appreciate the process with other contractors going into the future. If i had one point of advice for you, is that any project no matter the scope will always come with many surprises and changes of thoughts or heart. This is natural and expected from any good contractor. It is not a sign of bad workmanship it is simply the reality with any project. The large the more will change or have to be adjusted. Best of luck with the numerous renovations you have planned for your beautiful home.
