Precision Home Inspection

Sean recently conducted a home inspection for me, his review was very thorough, he took the time to clearly explain things to me and he provided me with a detailed and professional report. Following the inspection, Ive been looking into solutions to address the issues he raised and he has again been available to answer all of my follow-up questions. His inspection is very thorough and his customer service is exceptional, highly recommended!

Where do I start? Missed flashing around and the cracked crown of the chimney. Didn't recommend to extend the gas stack on the roof. Missed open grounds in plugs of 3/4 of the house, wasn't sure if asbestos was found but clearly visible by another experienced inspector. Didn't mention missing railing on basement stairs. Didn't recommend to just buy window well covers, they recommended to rebuild each window well. Didn't bother to mention about the outdated smoke detectors and recommend any? If you did this bad of a job on this house, what kind of quality are you giving other people?

We used Precision Home Inspection for our move to Ottawa. Precision was punctual and spent some time reviewing our home. Precision did provide a documented report that showed a number of minor maintenance issues but since we have been here for a few months now I have come to feel that the inspection was too cursory. As an example although we live in a bungalow Precision only inspected the roof from the ground. I don't feel the inspection of our attic was adequate. This was my second time using a home inspector and Precision's inspection was lacking in comparison to the detailed inspection we had on the purchase of our first home. I would not use Precision for a future inspection.

Sean did a solid job on my home inspection, considering there was 3 feet of snow outside. He pointed out some minor things and one major concern, which required further expertise. It was a good catch, and we dealt with it easily. The report came quickly and it was worth the price.

Your home inspection is only as good as your inspector, and Sean was solid, reliable and knowledgeable.
