I found BFW on Homestars. After reading some reviews I contacted the company to get a quote on a wall unit. Istvan came and provided a quote the same week. It was $2,000 less than the other quote I received. They built a beautiful wall unit in my basement and I ended up having a closet built as well. Both are beautiful. It was a wonderful experience meeting Istvan and his partner. Their work is lovely. Highly recommend.

I was looking to redo and modernize my fireplace mantle - Steven and team did not disappoint. Price was reasonable for high quality work. Steven is personable, and very responsive. Very polite, listens well to what you want to do and has great ideas. Install was completed within the set timelines (before Christmas), at the price discussed and completed cleanly with care.

Steven did a wonderful job of installing beautiful shelving around our old fireplace, and refacing the outdated fireplace with marble. The room is completely transformed! His team was polite and efficient, taking only 2 days to install everything, including the mount for the TV above the fireplace. He was recommended to us by a friend, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone else.

I was referred to Steven by a friend of mine who also recently had custom millwork installed at their home. So we contacted him to help us with our fireplace built in. We were not disappointed. His work is top notch from fit to finish. Steven is very personable & knowledgeable and helped us along the way with design, coordinating proper mouldings to achieve the desired look. It really transformed our basement, and it is now our favourite room to spend time in. We couldn't be happier.

I contacted Steven based on his excellent reviews on Homestars and I have to say, he did not disappoint. Steven initially met with us to go over our plans and to see the space we wanted worked. I've worked with contractors who are not personable at all but Steven right away presents himself as a true gentlemen and knows what customer service is all about. Very polite and patient. We asked and he provided some really good ideas, especially since the space we were working with wasn't symmetrical (big radiator to contend with). Steven proposed some ideas and drawings which we thought were great and we went with that and I'm glad we did. Steven's carpentry skills are top notch, and the finished product in both our living room and cold room have received nothing but compliments. Steve does great work. Install was clean and went smoothly. After a couples of months living with the unit Steve made for us we feel as though it has always been there, it looks seamless in our family room. Great work!

We are so thankful we found Steven and Blackforest Woodworking. It all started a year ago and there were many different ideas that were discussed. Steven was patient from the beginning, creative with his ideas, and fun to talk to! His communication was awesome...often returning my call or email the next day. The end product is gorgeous and seamlessly merges with the rest of our kitchen cabinetry. I’m looking around my house for other projects just for him. Steven and team have done exceptional work on our project. They have timely delivered our two built-in cabinets and had them installed quickly and efficiently. They protected our hardwood flooring and kept everything well organized. They even came back to re-install one of our handles which broke during installation.
