The Move Man

I hired The Move Man to transport our (large and heavy) choral risers to an event my Chorus was having. I had arranged to have them arrive to load at 3pm (giving us plenty of time to get from Vancouver to Surrey by 6pm), however when 3:00 came around and they had not arrived yet I gave Ian (manager/owner?) a call to find out what was going on, only to learn that they had been involved in a accident and had been rear ended. Ian assured me that they were on their way to pick up another truck and will be there as soon as possible. They arrived by 4:00 to a very nervous me (time was very much an issue). My fears were instantly abated when 4 guys popped out of the truck, and we were completely loaded within 15 min of their arrival, I was very impressed! They were able to unload quickly and efficiently when we arrived at the venue. On the Sunday they also loaded extremely efficiently, and unloaded back at our hall even in non ideal conditions (there were children playing/running in the area following a church service).

I have used The Move Man on three occassions.Not only do they actually show up ON TIME..their estimate was spot on. The staff was courteous and polite , and worked quickly and didnt mind going above and beyond ( actually gave me felt for the bottom of my furniture legs so they would scratch my new floor).
I may be moving again in the next few months and will only call Ian at The Move Man to do the job.

I was referred to The Move Man by my sister. She used them a few months ago and was extremely impressed. I called Ian and his team to help me move and they did exactly that. They got me boxes and got me packed up and moved in record time. The last guys I used took double the time. My sister and I don't agree on much but we do agree on The Move Man. They were amazing. At the last minute I had to move some furniture from my apartment and they squeezed me in the next day. It was amazing. I would hire them again in a second.

We used the Move Man for a job on Thormanby Island. No small feat. It involved Ian and his crew, driving onto a barge and floating across to our remote residence. A site to behold. The Move Man were terrific for my small move. They fit in my date (month end) and my start time requirements(early). They arrived on time and were very efficient and quick. I highly recommend them.

I hired the Move Man because I had a great experience with this company when I bought a sofa at Moe's Furniture and The Move Man was the delivery service. I had just moved a few days before buying the new sofa and had a horrible experience with an outfit that I won't name. The Move Man (there were 3 of them) arrived on time, and they actually RAN (carefulyl) up the stairs to get each load of boxes. They were polite, efficient, friendly and professional. I did not know what to expect as far as how long my move would take but I was ready to pay for 3-4 hours. It turned out to be 2 hours which gave me lots of time for cleaning my old place and getting set up in the new one before dinner. The truck was huge and everything fit into one truck. I watched as the crew carefully packed everything and tied it all off to avoid movement while driving. There was zero breakage when I unpacked and I had a lot of fragile things packed less than perfectly. I would say that The Move Man is a great deal because they get the work done fast and they do it with professionalism and the crew were clean cut and well spoken. I tipped them $50 because the price was much less then expected Thanks to their commitment to keeping things moving quickly but with great care taken not to damage any walls or any of my stuff I feel obliged to give them a 10 out of 10.

This was the first time I had hired movers to get me from point A to point B. I was rather nervous about it as it's not cheap (for my pocket book). I chose the Move Man based on their excellent ratings, and it was the best decision ever! Drastically reduced the stress of moving day! They were extremely polite, despite the copious emails I sent to make sure I understood ever little detail. They were kind enough to come give me an estimate on the size truck I would need and how long it would take. Despite not being able to see my external storage unit, they were right on target. The guys who did the moving were brilliant. Outgoing and cheerful, despite having to carry boxes and boxes of books from the ground to the third floor via stairs. They were very respectful of my belongings and did their utmost to shield and protect everything. If I had friends helping me move, it would have taken far longer and I would have had far more than the one little scratch I did with these guys. It seems to me this can be a tricky business, as people can be pretty sensitive about their belongings, but I would happily recommend the Move Man. The crowning moment though was when they sent the truck and driver that were going to be working on another job, to help mine finish up quickly... without charge. I am sure this is not a regular phenomena... but I was pretty darn impressed that such a thing could happen at all! Just helps emphasize that they are a good company.

On time, friendly, respectful, easy going, efficient, very safety conscious, very careful of furniture, breakables and residence. Top notch customer service. Have recommend to my in-laws who will be moving in next six months. Very satisfied.

I am very happy with the service I received from The Move Man. I was given a very reasonable quote and it was pretty much spot on. The movers arrived on time and started right away. I was surprised at how young they were, but they were very professional and worked fast and efficiently. There was no damage to any walls or fragile items. Hiring The Move Man really made my day easier as I did not have to worry about moving any of the larger items out of my townhouse. I will definitely use this company for any future moves.
