I went with Royal Roofing after quotes from 5 different companies for a full replacement of my flat roof and shingle roof, including all new flashing, in the east end of Toronto. Nick got up on the roof and went over in detail with me the work that needed to be done and step by step what their process was and what materials they would use. This gave me the confidence to know that I would be getting a quality system for the price - I compared to other quotes and research online.

I greatly appreciated their ability to get started right away as winter was approaching fast and my roof was showing signs of leaking with the late fall rains. The job turned out to be significant and greater than expected with a full 5 layers of flat roof to remove and 5 layers of shingles, including the original cedar! This changed the initial cost of the job somewhat but Nick was very willing to come to a reasonable agreement and meet me half-way. Nick and his team worked late into the Christmas season to get the job done and I was very pleased with their progress, cleanliness and communication.

It was clear Nick and his team were committed to a quality job - he made additional repairs to the edges of my roof including new flashing that was not originally part of the quote, and installed two new vents in the gabled roof to improve ventilation, no extra charge or haggling. They built up around my chimney with strong plywood to ensure the flashing was installed on a rock solid base. I did not feel at any point the team was rushing or cutting any corners - everything looked to be done solid and with attention to detail, even though this was over the holidays and in poor weather.

Overall I would highly recommend calling Royal Roofing for your roofing job - I believe they are a strong mix of quality at a competitive price.

Competitive and good rate! Great service and fast! (Only complaint was that I wished they cleaned up their mess that was left in the eavestrough.) The workers did however cleaned up the perimeter of the house and even climbed over the fence to clean the mess that was on the neighbors' side! Which was really appreciated it! All and all, will use them again in the future and I absolutely recommend this company!

Quality work with an eye on detail is a rare thing these days. But Royal Roof performed an "Excellent" job of re-shingling my roof! From the quote process, scheduling, and of course the actual work performed, Royal proved that quality balanced with cost can be achieved. I never felt anything but reliving a high quality installation and the clean up was also as detailed as the work performed!

I would recommend to anyone that when requiring a roofing company, Royal "must" be at the top of the list for choice!

Nick and his crew did an exceptional job reroofing our home. The job was completed within a couple of days as promised and the property left clean of debris each day. Windows and plants were protected while the work was being done. This is the second building we have had reroofed by Royal Roofing and we would not hesitate to contract them again in the future. Checked Home Stars for reviews on the company before hiring them to do the job. Checked out other competitors as well, but Nick met the competitions price. Work done in a timely fashion. Very neat and tidy. No hidden costs. Provided pictures taken of my actual roof after work was done so I could see that it was done to my satisfaction. Great idea since I would never climb up to check for myself. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

The entire process went smoothly, from initial estimate to completion of the roof replacement. Despite the extremely hot temperatures, the crew worked tirelessly over two days to complete the work.

Given that we had two layers of roof, there was considerable debris that had to be removed, and the pile reached close to 2m in height in some places. As you can imagine there was a lot of dust and dirt and I had concerns about how the walkway between our houses would be left. The crew did a fantastic job of removing garbage and sweeping the walkway, window wells, and other surfaces, to the point that a simple hosing with water was enough to finish the job.

My wife and I are very happy with the work that was provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Royal Roofing to others.

I would recommend Royal Roofing without hesitation. They were professional from start to finish. They arrived at 7:30 am, got organized, making sure to cover everything up to protect from damages. They worked nonstop until 6:30 pm. The job was done in 1 day and we are very happy with it. Nick showed us photos of the finished product and explained the work that was done.

While the overall work that was done was fine, the level of service from some of the staff was appalling.
In terms of the work, the roof was done quickly and professionally; there was a large crew, and they were working hard throughout the two (very hot) days. They maintained constructive communication with the homeowners as well.
However, the follow through was abysmal. During the work, one of the workers (likely inadvertently) left the 2nd floor gutter disconnected from the downpipe. We tried to reach Royal Roofing by telephone at least 6 times during the following day. Nobody returned any of our messages. Finally, that night, Louis (who was the team lead) returned the call. He was incredibly rude and condescending. Given it was a 2-minute fix, we insisted he send someone over as it's high up; he very begrudgingly gave in, called and all he said was "someone's on their way" and hung up.
While we aren't unhappy with the actual work that was done, his demeanour left a very sour taste in our mouth.
