Bought a Kenitco water softener to replace my old softener that was damaged in the recent flood. I told them I was a flood victim and the generously told me I would get 10% off and for $30 they would haul away my old water softener.
What I found strange was that they forcefully demanded full payment before install. I just got a furnace and hot water installed which cost 10 times as much and never was asked for payment until the work was done. Very strange.
The installer was a really nice guy, explained everything. I asked him when someone would take away my old softener and he said someone would call me soon.
I waited 2 weeks and no call back. Then when I called I got the answer "oh, we changed our mind and don't want to pick up your old softener anymore"
What kind of company charges you up front and just decides they don't want to do the work they committed to after the sale?
I should have listened to these reviews, this company treats their customers poorly post-sale. I even tried to call their Service Manager, Art several times but he ducked my calls in a hope I would go away.
Way to go Trail, jerk around a flood victim. Very disappointing!
