B.S. Service

My husband and I purchased an induction stove from Trail Appliances, we went to plug it in and there is absolutely no power to the stove. We call to find out what to do and we get a run around, the red deer store transfers us to Calgary who then proceed to tell us to call fridgedaire as it would be there issue. We try calling fridgedaire and of course they are closed, so we call the red deer store back and the lady who answered said she would have the manager call us back, you guessed it, the store is now closed and we never received a call back. We still have warranty on the stove and this is BS. The customer service with Trail appliance is subpar at best. I now have no stove, a family of 4 to feed and no answers or a light to the end of the issue we have. I am pissed at the lack of communication and the bs run around! It is now a week and a half later and the women at the store are being snarky ignorant and intolerable to deal with, it is not our fault the stove doesn't work and the lack of sympathy towards another is revolting! They did order new parts but the stove still doesn't work and when we called to see what they were doing to fix the issue we got more attitude, to the point where my husband actually said goodbye and hung up on the girl while she was still talking! There is nothing worse than feeling like you aren't heard! Is it so much to ask that our stove be fixed so we can feed our family without having to order in every night? Sure hope someone deals with this issue soon!

SAMSUNG Dishwasher and water softner

SAMSUNG DISHWASHER: The installer did not finish the job, the kick board was missing. I had to call Trail to get them to return. 14 months later I discover my dishwasher has been leaking onto the hardwood floor. The appliance does not wash dishes properly. I would not recommend. 3 service calls later.
WATER SOFTNER: I bought a water softner from Trail, they installed it two weeks later. That night I checked the water softner at 12.30am, I discovered my basement flooded. More damage and more time waiting in for a return service call. My time is precious, I have spent maybe 10 hours waiting for return service calls at my expense. They have condescending costumer service people, when I returned a call they gave me the wrong job no. I would never use this company again. I would use SEARS as I always did.

Appliances

Bought appliances for the whole house. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They will match any advertised priced and u can expect to get the lowest price in the mkt. After sales service not great but they provide what they can - parts delivery timeline could be months. I can say this as almost all my appliances broke down within the 1st year (Kitchaid) but were fixed under warranty. Over all great place to buy - research before hand what you want and price you are getting and Trail will make sure you are a happy customer! I will recommend them.

Washer & Dryer

Closing time on Tuesday (5:35pm), we were helped by sales and agreed on price $1500 for W&D(scratch & dent). While we were waiting for approval on price from manager,another gentleman comes in asks if we are dealing on W&D set ...and we politely stated yes...he goes finds a different sales guy and scoops the set from us.. We were told he was in earlier in the day asking for a price so HE GOT IT! We told everyone that we were there first and had already agreed to purchase, but the other guy who was also buying a fridge was given priority.......We ended up having to pay more money! GO FIGURE because that was the best the manager Dana could do...Totally not handled correctly by SALES Team! Beware.......

Thank you for your comments. To help you understand our process and address your concerns, here is a recap of what transpired. A customer made a purchase of our clearance laundry while you were trying to negotiate a better deal on the already discounted set. As clearance pieces are in high demand and are short in supply, they are sold on a first come first serve basis. The set was sold to a customer who had viewed it earlier in the day and returned with a better understanding of the value being offered. We did not place the set on "hold" while the other customer was considering their purchase prior to your visit because of our first come first serve policy.

Once the set was no longer available, you were provided with a solution. You agreed to purchase a discounted display model. Given that we had created a solution for you, and we had this discussion in-store, we are surprised to find your negative feedback. New appliances

I have asked for warranty on 3 items we purchased out of 5 appliances. Bought extended warranty on all items and told we are out of range and no one to helps us. Not my problem fix these issues, I will not go away!

Deliver & Installation of Appliances

Worst service ever received. Delivery and Installation of appliances was delayed by 4-5 days with no apologies or even contacting me to ensure everything was OK. Everyday was a new excuse. The minimum expectation from a client that purchases a complete set of appliances for a new home is for them to be there on time to actually start living in your home. It seems to be too much for this company to deliver their product on time.

kitchen aid gas cook top

safety problem with Kitchen aid gas top , trail appliance not able give time to fix problem and service adviser want to stay at home without pay and service manager did not come to phone since last 10 days and every time service adviser Ms Liz arguing and not giving convenient time to do service
Problem with gas cook top is that some time when using one burner reaming burner also sparking which is dangerous and safety problem

Washer/dryer

This is the first time I am writing a review and it is because I have never had worse experience than this. This was from Trail Appliances located on Sweden Way in Richmond, BC.

I went into Trail Appliances looking for washer/dryer set. Sales rep recommended us to the LG washer/dryer combo (model WM3570HVA/DELX3570V).

First irritant - during the delivery of the set, the delivery people dented the dryer in the process and had to deliver a new one 2 days after.

While we waited for the dryer, we installed the washer and tested it and realized that it was defective. We immediately called Trail in an attempt to have it replaced. We were told then that for all LG product issues, we have to contact LG directly to resolve them ourselves. Second irritant.

When LG finally approved to have the defective washer that i bought replaced (which, by the way, took 1 week to approve, and another week to forward the approval to Trail), they had to refer me back to Trail to arrange a time.

Here is the thing that did it for me. When Trail called me back to inform me that LG had approved to replace my washer, Trail told me that in order for me to get the same unit/model replaced, I had to wait a minimum 3-4 weeks. If I didn't want to wait, I can get a LG washer that is one model older with no cash rebate or compensation. The service rep on the phone explained to me the biggest differences between the old model and the new model are 1) less spin cycle per minute, hence, clothes will take longer to dry, and 2) instead of 12 spin cycle choices, I get 11. I was not happy with what was presented and I asked the service rep on the phone that Trail is not giving me any options. How can I be happy that 1) i was delivered a defective appliance, and 2) have to now settle for a worse model. The response from the sales rep was "are you really going to use all 12 spin cycle options?" Immediately I asked to file a complaint.

Oh, one more thing. At the end, I opted to get the older model of the washer as I cannot wait 3-4 weeks to MAYBE get a replacement. Guess what? Now i have front load washer and dryer that have doors that open opposite from each other (one opens on the left, the other opens on the right) when I clearly asked for both to open on the right.

I have no doubt Trail provides products at very good prices, but the service and experience was horrible and I will NEVER buy anything there again and I'd tell and recommend everyone the same.

Appliance purchases

I recently purchased several kitchen appliances from Trail. On the positive side, the delivery/installation staff were excellent! However, the sales staff were careless and failed to provide key information. My first range required a 50 amp circuit, which the sales person failed to warn me about. It was the range hood installer who gave me the heads up. After calling in an electrician, I discovered that the wiring in my home would not support a 50 amp breaker and the cost to rewire it would be very high. I had to cancel the order and (fortunately) convinced Miele to waive the restocking fee. No help from Trail with this. I picked out an alternate range, with the "help" of a new sales person. Although all of my appliances had included delivery and installation, the new sales person failed to include the installation on the new order. (Admittedly, partially my fault for not catching this.) With my old range taken away and the new one sitting in the midst of my kitchen, I had to try to get them to send someone to install it ASAP. They did (thankfully) arrange to do that, but my dissatisfaction with their sales staff has me at the point where I cannot recommend them.

New appliances

Moved into new house on Friday, no laundry, 3 kids, huge dilemma! Went into Trail on Saturday morning and had new laundry installed Monday morning! Phew crisis averted! Thank you Trail Appliances!
