Doyle Home Inspections & Septic Assessment Service

This is the second time we have used Reg and his team for a home and septic inspection. I would not even think of using anyone else. The entire team are extremely professional, experienced, knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and patient (we had lots of questions). They are never in a rush and take their responsibility seriously. It is very evident they dig deep and explore every nook and cranny gathering all possible information in order to provide the best advice to their clients. We could not have been happier with either one of our experiences. I would highly recommend Reg to anyone who is in need of a home or septic inspection.

I hired Reg and his team to do a house and septic inspection on an older (1971) home I was purchasing.
It took about ten seconds on the phone with Reg to know that he knew his business, inside and out. His knowledge and experience was incredibly helpful, and beneficial when it came to renegotiation with the seller. He was fully transparent about what he could and could not see, and the limits of the inspection.
His notes and inspection report were well-detailed, and he took plenty of time to show me around the home and ensure that I knew what I was getting into.
Since I had him do the septic inspection as well, he brought his brother and grandson. They both provided me more knowledge about septic systems than I ever thought I'd have, and explained things in a way that was easy to understand.
The entire team was very personable and great to work with, and gave me far more knowledge about the house than I expected. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone that asks.

We have used 4 different inspectors while in Ottawa and Reg Doyle is by far our favourite and will be the one we use going forward. He was punctual, very thorough and extremely patient as he explained everything every step of the way. He encouraged questions and even sent us pictures afterwards (47 of them!) This allowed us to see areas that we were unable to see such as the roof and the attic. This was the first time I was able to see the roof of a house we were purchasing for myself :) He also had a thermal imaging camera that gave us information about the insulation, which was important since we were purchasing an older home. This helped us understand where to add extra insulation after we moved in. He seemed very familiar with older homes as well and understood the inner structure. He was very factual and didn't exaggerate or minimize issues (we have had inspectors that have done both in the past). We were very pleased with him and have recommended him to family and friends. It's no surprise he has a 10 rating :)

Reg and his crew have done 2 home inspections for us now. In both cases Reg's attention to detail and background explanations have been invaluable in putting issues into context and understanding the fundamentals of a property.

In one instance we were considering a property on well and septic; something which was new to us. Reg took the time to explain the important aspects of system design and operation and really helped understand the issues and process. On the basis of his first inspection for us we were more than happy to see him again for a second inspection when the first sale didn't complete.
