Had the student manger come by our home for a free estimate in the Upper Beaches area. I was very impressed on the presentation given by the young professional. I haven't gotten painting done since I moved in 4 years ago. My front porch, windows and soffits were in rough shape with heavy feeling in some areas. I paid a $900 deposit and he scheduled the date for early August. 2 weeks before our scheduled date, the manager called to see if we would be able to reschedule for late August (Other projects were pushed back due to poor weather in June). We were on a vacation in late August but allowed them to paint our house while we were gone as it was an exterior job. I have painted a few times before, but the time they took to scrape and sand all areas definitely showed. We came back on Labour day weekend to our beautiful home with a great paint job. The manager called after the long weekend to follow-up. He asked if we would be able to provide a reference letter and we gladly wrote up one for the manager. Its great to support a professional student company like this with commitment to great customer service. I definitely recommend!

I paid a $120 deposit to remove old paint from front porch fascia & post to make ready for painting. But only the easy-to-remove stuff had been scraped off (I could have done that myself!!) leaving most old paint on, un-paintable. I complained. It would be fixed with filler for no extra charge. I was pleased. But this work was only partially done. Still needs filling and sanding. Guy supposed to come today, but didn't. No notice. Lots of paint chips left for over a week to blow over my property. Have decided to let sales guy keep deposit; will pay worker something if he comes around for hours he put in. Job still needs completing; still isn't ready to paint, lots of holes, etc.

I gave the company a 30$ deposit in April to get my windows washed around mid-May. In June when they did not come I contacted them. They said they had put me by mistake in the June pile and would be over the following week. We are now in July with 3 phone calls to them with no call backs and no refund which I requested at the last call. I would not do business with this company.

I was very skeptical of having student painters paint my house. After a very detailed and thorough conversation during the estimate, I felt confident in seeing what they can do. Their manager acted in a professional manner and chose a date of production that was perfect for me. Finished product was AMAZING. Ill definitely be referring friends to this student company!!

The overall experience has been very good. It was nice to see that the student company was able to find hardworking people, and from start to finish the experience was surprising. My kitchen and bathrooms look great now, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to support students and get their house painted. I cannot speak for exterior work but I do know that I'm glad I worked with them.

I had a wonderful experience using the services of Scholars. The team I worked with was professional and I really have no difficulty supporting students like them. If only all student companies were like this one!

Eric quoted the work well but the work was poor. I took me another 4 cans of paint to correct it. They took a long time (12hours) and left my red garage door with white primer at the top. They did not cut into the edges at the Ceiling in the garage. I think they ran short of paint in the garage so just stopped and left areas uncovered. The Sherman William paint they provided as chalky and didn't cover up what they did touch. I would no use them again. Waste of money.

We were really impressed with the woman who did the quote. She made us feel very confident. Unfortunately, the work didn't live up to our expectations. We have paint on our carpet, our clothes, and our bedding, with no compensation and they took twice as long as expected. They also weren't very precise in their painting - it didn't feel like a professional job at all. We were very disappointed.

Chris from Scholars At Your Service, managed the painting work for my home in Moore Park in May of 2010. His crew performed interior and exterior work at an exceptional level. Whenever I get compliments on the home, everyone has trouble getting over the fact that university students were responsible for the work. Whenever an issue or concern arose, Chris delt with it in a business like fashion and always made me feel like a valued customer. The cost was competitive, the work was high quality, the painters seemed very well trained, and the guys were a pleasure to be around. Two thumbs up, way up.
