Argyle Flooring - No Longer in Business

Kumar and Munira were great to deal with in selecting our finshed flooring product. Argyle Flooring as contractor's were professional, prompt and committed in their execution to supply and install it's products.
Being someone that's associated to the construction and home renovation industry myself I can appreciate the efforts and recognize the quality of a great contractor. You would certainly not have any issues in dealing with Argyle Flooring for your own project. Highly Recommended!!

We recently had Argyle replace the carpet in our basement with VCT flooring. We decided to go with Argyle because of the great job they had done with the hardwood flooring installation at our home about a month back. And once again our overall experience was excellent - a large variety of flooring options to choose from, a good recommendation to meet our needs, professional, neat and good workmanship, timely completion of work and best of all fantastic customer service from Munira and Kumar.

We recently purchased a home and had Argyle Flooring replace the carpet on the upper level with hardwood before we moved in. Argyle has a wide selection of hardwood, engineered hardwood and laminate (and even carpet and tile) to choose from. Kumar and Munira, the owners of Argyle, were a pleasure to deal with and guided us to make the right choice of flooring for our needs at a very reasonable price. They very responsive to all our questions and concerns and provided us with excellent service. They had a very small window to get the job complete and it was done very professionally and on schedule. Greg and Derreck, the installers are friendly, professional and hard working and did an excellent job with the installation and finishing of the hardwood flooring. We would recommend Argyle without any hesitation.

Where do we begin to tell you our story?
Lets start at the very beginning … a very good place to start … when we begin – we begin with ABC … when we sing we begin with Doe- Ray -Me. Okay I’ll stop right there.!

We began our search for a good flooring Company – we had four flooring companies on our list to choose from. Our top most priority besides product line was Customer Service – someone we could feel “COMFORTABLE” with or relate to. The first on the list was ARGYLE Flooring. We walked through the door – were greeted with Munira’s warm enchanting smile and infectious talk. We told her what we were looking for – and it was Doe – Ray - Me … all the way!! ! She kept displaying the various types of hardwood– explaining each one of them – her knowledge was incredible. Finally she pulled out one saying this is what she has put for her whole house. – It was incredible – Our choice was obvious – But she insisted on us taking the comparative samples home and actually living with the display. Our decision was made. (Did I mention – we forgot about all the other flooring companies!)

Where does Kumar come in? Yes, Kumar comes home to take the measurements – and I must say the musical continued – Ray – a drop of golden Sun!!! He explained in absolute detail what it meant living with the exotic natural wood we chose – and made certain that it was absolutely our PRIME CHOICE. He took measurements with precision & skill – His estimate was reasonable and fair.

The product delivered to our home was of TOP NOTCH quality. During the installation, Kumar came by on a regular basis and even called ever so often to see that everything was fine and I was happy at EVERY STAGE. – Can any other business deliver such personal service? THANKS Kumar..

Regarding craftsmanship, I must admit I was very picky and wanted everything to be just perfect. That is where Eric, Kumar’s installer proved his patience - He was very obliging and was ever so willing to help us move our furniture – and not charge a cent. He even fixed our broken bedroom door trim without us asking him to do so! Thanks Eric for your generosity and excellent work.

Speaking of nickels and dimes – We landed up paying less than the estimated price. – Can THE BEST get any better!

Argyle Flooring is a company that offers EXCELLENT SERVICE with a PERSONAL TOUCH. From the moment we walked into the store Kumar and Munira made us feel very comfortable and provided exceptional service from start to finish. To our surprise, the floors were installed way ahead of schedule and the installers even fixed the leg of a broken dining room chair. I'll start off by saying that if you are undergoing a renovation project that includes flooring you need to do yourself a favour and visit Argyle Flooring.

I undertook my first renovation project which was a stressful endeavour but found some solace in Argyle Flooring. I visited half dozen stores and finally stumbled on Kumar and Munira's business. I live downtown Toronto but the trip up to Markham was well worth it. Firstly, customer service is to be had in boat loads. Argyle Flooring was incredibly helpful and experienced in their assistance and recommendations. Secondly, excellent product line from hardwood floors, carpet, and tiles. I ended up purchasing made in Canada hardwood floors, Italian and British Tiles, and made in the USA carpet. All in the higher end spectrum of products for prices equal or better to others so called sale prices. Lastly delivery and installation, due to delays in general contracting I had to reschedule installation of floors 3 times. No problem and very accommodating. Quality of installation was professional and fast.

Wow is what I can start with! I'm totally speechless at the amazing work Argyle has done. They go above and beyond what other flooring companies may nickel & dime you for. Kumar & Munira are old friends of the family, and we stayed in touch off and on, so I was a little hesitant about mixing friends with business, but let me tell you, how wrong I was!

My wife and I recently bought a resale home, and the hardwood, linolium, and carpet was just hideous. This place had animals, and the dust build up, the scratches, the dirtiness; I mean, I can go on and on, but basically - DISGUSTING!!! Once we made our offer on the house, and got it, we started looking for flooring (for about 2 months). That's when my buddy mentioned his parents do flooring, and I smacked him for not telling me sooner! I rushed right over to Argyle, and let me tell you, my wife & I were blown away.

Walking into the showroom for the first time, my wife immediately saw the hardwood she wanted, and ran right to it. We had gone to 4 other stores within the GTA, and she never responded so fast as she did at Argyle. Kumar & Munira of course greeted us with smiles and friendliness, as if we're family (and they treat everyone like that - frankly, for as long as I've known them and their family, we are family!!!). We worked out the wood we wanted, the little extras that other places didn't offer (flush vents stained to match, certain custom jobs, etc.) and we informed them that we're providing the Porcelain tile, as there was a very distinctive one we found that didn't require special order, but we needed someone to do the labour. Kumar & Munira didn't even blink, they were happy to provide the service of installation!

Kumar took exactly 30 minutes to measure the whole house for the material, and he even gave me the measurements I needed for the Porcelain tile (Thank God, you don't know how much that helps!). After that, came the amazing quote, which we immediately accepted in a heartbeat (minus a few things we changed our minds on, and Munira was happy to requote same day!), and the work got started 1 week after we moved in.

The tile guys took 3 days (3 DAYS!!! That's super speed). The work was very impressive; they got every nook and cranny, and didn't leave any hidious gaps! No shortcuts were taken and everything was level to the T. My wife and I are very picky and perfectionists, so if something was off, we'd be upset. Alejandro & his brother were the nicest guys you could talk to, and they give you helpful suggestions as they're working, to make you feel comfy taking care of the Porcelain flooring long after the install.

Then came the hardwood - SPEEEEEECTACULAR!! Greg & Derrek know their stuff like the back of their hand. They know your vision; they can see what you're seeing, and they'll make friendly suggestions (and I do mean friendly) if something might not be right or look funny. These guys have THE eye for this stuff. They took 2 days. I mean, how much more convenient can you get after that? I had surgery the the prior week, so I was lucky enough to see some of the work... Boy these guys are good!

No matter how big or how complicated the job may be, Kumar & Munira truly associate themselves with the best in the industry, because they really are the best!!! I'm going to be better than their son and start handing out business cards on their behalf! LOL, thank you guys for the amazing dedication and hardwork you put in to this for us.
