I am a senior. Told I needed GFI's in places not needed. Tried to get $ back, but no response from Mr Electric. Should have looked at these reviews. A good company will give free estimates.

Figuring I had a big problem, I paid the $340 "diagnostic fee". Turns out the problem was a short which they diagnosed in 5 minutes. And yes, still out the $340. So basically ignore these guys unless you know you have a big job.

When you call for an appointment they charge you a $111.87 cancellation fee. Once the electrician comes he shows you that the minimum diagnostic fee is $340 plus taxes. You are stuck because they charged your credit card already and you need the repair. Resolved the problem but pricing not honest. You feel tricked.

As I did a total remodel of the main floor of my home there was a need for extensive rewiring for appliances etc. The work was completed on time and easily passed the electrical inspection.

very unethical business practices. called for quote. was charged $150, in advance, just for the estimate (no other contractor charges for an estimate). estimate never received. repeated phone calls with no response. DO NOT HIRE!!!

This company came and explained what we could do to lessen the total cost of the job, as we had to rewire the entire lower level. They then ensured this was inspected and finished the job as planned.

I had Mr. Electric in to repair a plug and while there was told by Rob that my house was in danger of fire since the plugs all needed to be pigtailed with copper wiring. Being the 24/7 caregiver for my husband with Alzheimer's and not having had to be responsible for house maintenance, I now feel I was taken advantage of being a senior who didn't need any more trouble should there be a fire.....many other concerns were also given to me at the time. So I agreed to have this done although the quote of $3,000 was a concern to me. Afterwards I discovered I could have had it done for $1,500 - $1,700 by other electrical companies. I had already given them $1,500 deposit which they said was non-refundable. They wanted paid some money each day the electrician worked. I found the electrician Greg very nice to have in my home and discovered the last day he worked for me was the day he was leaving that company to work for another. Mr. Electric has not even tried to return a call I made to him about three weeks ago. I also faxed him a complaint on 20th August. I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone. As I now read other reviews written on other companies, it has crossed my mind that they issued me a certificate but there was no actual inspection done by the Electrical Safety Authority to say the work was done properly. Should there have been? And is this certificate valid?

Excellent service from the moment I called for a quote. The electrician was on time, efficient and explained why there was a problem. Solved the issue quickly. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

New to Canada, never hired an electrician before. Unfortunately, Mr. Electric was the first I called. One smoke detector needed to be replaced but technician said I needed all three in the house replaced; charged me $800 to do so. Company manager incredibly rude and unprofessional. Buyer beware!!!

I was quoted $3500 for installation of several lighting fixtures. I am not satisfied that the quote was fair or reasonable. The quotation was much higher than I had expected.
