Yes, you had a unit that leaked, it leaked due to a manufacturer, heat exchanger defect, and nothing to do with installation.
You know this, as it was verified by Rinnai.
You had one year left on parts manufacturers warranty and zero years left on labour warranty.
we arranged to get you a NEW UNIT under the manufacturers warranty, Instead of just getting a new heat exchanger.
We called you for the repair and you did not call us back until today, we have the replacement unit in our shop - it was delivered 3 weeks ago by rinnai Canada!
Rinnai will verify we addressed your service call the same day, got the unit for you and you did not call us back.
It is still sitting here in our shop.
You do not answer your phone because you have a very strange phone number with a 571 area code.
We called and left you a message three weeks ago.
We called you today and your phone said
" number not in service".
Regarding the labour, it expired four years ago. The manufacturer would not honour the labor, but they did give you a new unit, an upgraded model for free.
And as a favor, we reduced the labour cost by 50% but that wasn't good enough for you and you told us on the phone today you were calling your lawyer.

This is totally unfair because the breakdown has nothing to do with us and in fact, we are bending over backwards to get you a free unit which we did.
I guess you would like us to send the free unit back?
Doesn't make much sense to me, sir, but if it makes you feel good to hurt an honest company, then you've done your job.
