Being tired of replacing shingles every 10 years or so, I looked into metal roofs. The first company I called for a quote did not even show up for the estimate. Then I called London Eco-Roof and the salesman Gord was very knowledgeable about the product and installation and the quote was reasonable (only 50% more that the quotes I had from a couple of other traditional shingle installers). After talking to 2 owners of London Eco Roofs in my area, (both of whom were very satisfied with their new roof) I signed the contract and am very happy with the metal roof they installed. There was some confusion on the date of the actual install but the crew that arrived in October 2014 were friendly and professional. They completed the installation efficiently and left the work area tidy when done. The roof looks great and is not noticeably noisier than the old shingle roof. One note: The pattern of metal I selected was called Bingo - it looks great but it makes it very tricky to walk on the roof without stepping on the raised part of the metal pattern. If you step on the raised part of the metal pattern it will dent - there were a few small dents where the installers misplaced a foot. I hope it lasts 50 years or more but even if it is only 30 years it will be very cost effective.
