Home Air Care duct cleaning-No Longer In Business

We purchased a certificate through Groupon looking for a $$ break on the service but made should the company was listed under the Homestars. The company followed up to confirm the appointment and honoured the deal. They offered some advice and upgrades - some made sense while others we held off on. Pricing was reasonable but keep in mind that if you want to settle up payment via VISA, they may tack on a 2.5% charge (waived for us).
They were polite and respectful as they removed their shoes while they worked in the home. They was no camera service so we weren't sure how dirty the vents were. We're hopeful that things are as clean as they can get. What we weren't ready for was the amount of cleanup after they left.
The amount of dust and debris that was now on the floors and furniture added almost 3 hours of cleanup to what was already a busy day/night dealing with kids... They also had to make some new holes in the venting system to gain better access - all those off cuts were left for us to clean. The upgraded air filter packaging was also left behind for us to clean up.
So, to sum it all up - from a service perspective, it appears they did everything they promised while being polite and courteous. But if you are looking for that fit and finish, this is not the company for you.

Harry and his team was very thorough with the job. They cleaned up after themselves and lay down drop sheet to avoid damaging my house. They explained what they were doing and answered my questions. Overall, I am very satisfied with their job and I recommend them or I will go with them again if situation calls for it.

I would absolutely not recommend this company (looks like they are out of business anyway!). We waited for over two weeks to get a response about an appointment; they did not show up when scheduled. We called but could not leave a voicemail due to the box being full. We eventually got a new appointment after persistent, hourly calls. We were within the 15 duct(s) in our package, but were told that 2 vents were different types and did not qualify, therefore were $20 more each (whereas the company site was $10 for additional ducts and it was not listed that there are different "grades" of ducts and/or vents) and this was an obvious cash grab. After cleaning, several of the vent covers were not installed correctly and debris was left on the floor.

The technician also thought a wall safe (disguised with a vent cover) was a duct even upon "inspection." I had to take the vent down to confirm for him that it was a safe and not an additional duct. Ridiculous!

Despite the short comings in the service, we could not take another day off to accommodate another company so we asked about furnace, humidifier and air conditioning cleaning after an issue with our furnace. We were told an additional $140-160 each for the cleaning of each item. As we could not afford to take another day off to accommodate another firm - we had to take the hit of get another company to come in in the future. Overall, I am dissatisfied and find this company a waste of my time and money.

We scheduled an appointment for July 6, 2014 and they didn’t show up. When I called they said they were having issues with their truck and will schedule me as soon as possible as I had already waited over 2 weeks for my appointment. They never called back, did not respond to the several voicemails I left over the next week nor did they respond to the emails. When I finally for in touch 10 days later, the person answering was not at all apologetic which I found very unprofessional. I returned the deal and would never recommend this company to anyone.

No show for an appointment today. I am unable to follow up since the voiocemail is full. Can only send an email. Disappointed since I took time off to wait for them. Will ask for refund from Living Socials.

I bought a deal from Buytopia. The guy who answers the phone is definitely not organized because it took multiple phone calls and conversations to straighten out our appointment. Once the technicians arrived, they refused to clean our dryer duct stating it was too high (isn't that what ladders are for??) and charged us for 4 return air ducts cleaning without us asking them to do them!! Would never purchase a deal from again!

Purchased a LivingSocial deal for Duct Cleaning from Home Air Care. Booked the appointment and on the appointed day they did not show up and have not return my attempts to contact them since.

Duct cleaning yesterday Apr 23rd. I think I was robbed, I purchased a buytopia for 15 vents, dryer vent and sanitization. But when they arrived, they told me I should clean the furnace and ac, that was an extra charge I did not want to pay for. So I told them just provide the service I purchased. They looked at my air return and said there was going to be extra $20 per section??? That did not sound right to me but stupid me ended up paying for 5 extras and then tips??? I am now contacting them and wondering if that is correct and paying cash with no tax is normal but somehow these guys did not seem trustworthy.

"BUYER BEWRE I bought a buytopia certificate and made my appointment, I was told on the phone that it included 15 ducts and any additional would be $10, no problem so far. The day of the cleaning they call me and said that return vents would be an additional $20 then he changed his mind and said if it's a large return vent it would be $40`per vent. This is no deal, more like a full price cleaning dressed like a deal. I cancelled my appointment and will get a refund from buytopia. Can`t be trusted.

The workers arrived on time and cleaned all vents as requested. Take note that they charge per vent and kind of throw other offers at you (for an additional fee) if you would like a 'germicidal' spray for the duct system and 'furnance coil cleaning'. All in all, the service was average and nothing really to complan about. It took approximately, 1.5 hours for everything.
