One year ago, we were in need of new eavestrough and leaf guards around our whole house. Simon at Guildwood Roofing was one of the guys who gave us a quote. He took the time while up on the roof to take pictures so he could show me reasons as to why we should have them replaced. He was the only company who did this, which impressed me to say the least. He was very genuine and honest with his quote. While a couple of other companies were quoting and telling me that we needed to replace the soffit and fascia, Simon said it was absolutely not necessary. He could have easily told us to replace them and we would have paid to have it completed. Fast forward to two weeks ago, during heavy rain we had a very small leak that I could hear above our bedroom. We were definitely in need of a new roof. Simon came over for a quote and again took pictures of the old shingles, and any damaged shingles etc as to why it was time for a new roof. Again, he was the only one to do this. After getting quotes, we decided to have Simon at Guildwood Roofing do our roof (I kind of knew Simon would be getting the job, but I still had to do my due diligence and get a couple other quotes). I was very happy with him from the previous work mentioned above. Simon mentioned he wouldnt be able to fit us in for a couple weeks because he is very busy, which I understood and said I would wait for him to schedule a date when he could come. Then last week, with more incoming rain on the holiday Monday, I was nervous about water dripping in. I called Simon to see if anything could be done as a temporary fix. He then told me that he would come over, not to mention on the Friday evening of a long weekend, to tarp my roof so no water would get in. Thats amazing service if you ask me! He was able to squeeze us in today and wow what an amazing job! Simon and his crew are very professional and made a point of showing me the progress and exactly what they were doing throughout the day. After our roof was complete, I couldnt believe how clean and tidy they were. You wouldnt even know we had work done on our house today. Needless to say, I highly recommend Simon and Guildwood Roofing to anyone looking for roof work. I have, and will continue to recommend him to anyone I know. Thanks for a great job Simon and team!

One section of our roof had been in bad shape for a while but the last straw for us was when raccoons pooped all over our roof. Simon had previously done my parents' roof several years back, and within a week of contacting him, he came over for a consultation. He let us know that the other parts of the roof had clearly been replaced in the past, but this section had not due to the difficulty of getting to it. He was extremely diligent and thorough, adding an additional vent and flagging a few other issues he spotted while outside. After sales/installation service is even more important than initial sales/installation. Guildwood does well in both. My neighbour and I had our roofs done by Guildwood about 8 years ago. Since installation, we called them twice on different issues, and they came promptly to inspect or take care of our roof. Owner Simon is a real gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. After researching and getting estimates for what felt like years, I finally landed on Guildwood Roofing based on numerous recommendations within our local facebook group and Simon's amazing attention to detail when quoting. Simon was prompt and quick at communicating and when he arrived to provide the estimate, he did his due diligence to find any potential issues and flag them upfront rather than it being an added cost down the road.

The price was pretty much on par with the majority of the quotes I received but Simon's responsiveness, clarity and the recommendations from my neighbours ended up standing out.

We had our entire roof (shingles) and aluminum replaced on a 50's ranch bungalow and the whole process was done in just 3 days with excellent worksmanship and cleanliness. After completion, I noticed a small storm window in the basement had been broken my accident during the work and Simon was quick to respond and had it replaced as soon as possible.

I suppose only time will tell if the work was done to the highest standards (ie no leaks and lasts a long time) but, I would highly recommend Simon and the team at Guildwood to anyone looking to replace their roof / alumium. It was clear a lot of care and experience went into the work and I appreciate the confidence I had in them to take on such a stressful renovation for myself and my family.
