Move from 2bdrm to 2bdrm apartment
A very pleasant fellow came in and took a look at our stuff and asked very appropriate questions and prepared an estimate for our move right there in the living room. He then had his office send us a formal quote the next day.
Having heard horror stories we decided to ask for a flat rate quote. After much back and forth on definitions of flat rate a mutual understanding was reached and a written flat rate quote was provided by Citi line moving.
Upon entering our apartment on moving day the estimator and three others showed up an hour late. The leader of the pack again confirmed to my boyfriend within
my hearing that there was no worries - we had been given a flat rate.
The job went slowly and of course the movers were rougher with our stuff than we would have liked but then they always are - even when they are your buddies. They demanded the money order for the flat rate before we left our old place which was wierd but I guess that's in hind sight, right?
When we arrived at our new apartment followed shortly there after by only two movers. They then demanded $400 in cash to finish the move. I phoned the police but my boyfriend didn't want any issues at our new place so I had to cancel the request. He paid and now they are dragging our stuff in and damaging the freshly painted Walls, breaking tips off skiis and the like.
The best thing I can do is try and prevent others from making the same mistake - DO NOT USE CITILINE MOVERS!
Upon arrival at the new place, we were shocked to hear that
