I hired Jacob to get rid of some old concrete posts in my backyard as well as setting up the staircase for my remodelled deck (with a new concrete pad at the bottom of the stairs). The job was very well done and on time. He came the first day and got rid of all the eight posts in no time. Then, he poured the concrete pad. The next day, he came back to remove the forms for the concrete pad and installed the staircase to the deck. Everything looks nice and leveled and the price was very good. Payment was half after the first day of work and the other half on completion the second day, which I think was very fair.

Day one shows up at 11:30 Day 2 doesn't show up at all no calls no text can't reach Jacob. Day 3 shows up at 12:30 runs off at 2 leaves patio unfinished and wants another$200.
Job included filling gaps with polymer sand. Instead he filled some with limestone and left the rest open gaps. The top stairs fell off day after as he did not glue them down. Left a huge mess. The repair area required leveling the stone where it had sunk. Instead, the entire repaired area is now 1/4 inch higher than the rest of the patio. Very unprofessional and very shawty work. I wish I had read the reviews before giving him the job

Lots of excuses Jacob actually didn't do much work he had students do must of it. Never came back to do finishing and left garbage behind. It took him 6 months and it was excuse after excuse. Work quality was bad would never recommend. Talks a good talk. Price was reasonable.

I hired 'Creative Ideas Landscaping' to resurface my driveway in December. It is now The end of May, and the work has still not been completed and I am dealing with law suits from the city because of them. Jacob had more excuses than one could ever imagine! No I have to find a new contractor to take care of his mess!

Creative Ideas installed a stone walkway and retainer wall beside my house. The quality of the work was satisfactory but they never finished the job. The owner, Jacob, requested final payment before the job was complete. Once he was paid, they never finished the work which included gluing the stones in the retainer wall and finishing the walkway with polymeric sand. I have sent repeated emails and voice messages and Jacob refuses to respond.

Advice to any new customer: be sure to have a holdback to ensure he completes the work as promised. I trusted him, but that was a mistake.

The quote came in very competitive with other companies but in the end choosing these guys was a mistake. The stone work was fine but they were clearly in way over their heads on the carpentry side of things. Plans were promised but never delivered. The was no attention to detail, the owner was argumentative and of course blamed the client for anything that went wrong. We are just waiting for the fence to fall down! When we called him on the quality of the work, he threatened to remove some of it! They rarely put in a full day's work (compared to other landscapers doing work in the neighbourhood) and the owner consistently over promised and under-delivered. Don't make the same mistake we did.
