Glass & The City No Longer In Business

I ordered a shower enclosure and paid $200 deposit. Installation was promised in two weeks. When time came to install Zeev said he would not come to do the job and refused to return the deposit. Stay away from this company. Do not be taken in by a low ball price or your deposit could be the next to go missing.

I liked the quote given by Dmitry and proceeded with the glass shower and the glass bar. I was very pleased with Dmitry's correspondence despite a short delay. Zeev and Dmitry did a very good job installing everything and I am happy with their service. Vladimir B.

I had Dmitri and Zeev out to give me a quote at the end of February for the replacement of my corner shower door and walls. They had the best price out of the 3 companies I looked into and they were able to come out to my house quickly to take the measurements, so I hired them. Their time estimate for installation (2-3 weeks) was accurate, however I had to follow up with Dmitri a couple of times to get him to come out and install the shower doors.

During installation, some of the ceramic tiles broke, but Zeev assured me that he would replace them with something of my choice, and at his expense. I was impressed with the customer service at this point. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from this point onwards. He had to reschedule the installation of the new tile about 3 times (which took about 3 visits, since it could not all be done at once). This was very inconvenient. Then, once the job was finished, the shower door was leaking water. Whenever I called Dmitri, he always told me that they were so busy, and that he would call me back. Never once did he return my phone calls. Finally, he told me to call Zeev directly. I did, and the same thing: he said he would call me back, and he did not. Then, he told me he would come on Friday, but that he would call back later with the exact time. Well, needless to say, he did not call back, and he did not come on the Friday. I finally had to get more assertive with them (after I don't remember how many calls and conversations), and they came at 9pm on the day they said they would be there at 6pm. (Again, there were another couple of calls I had to make between 6 and 9 to make sure they actually got there.)

End result: They came back out in June to "fix" the leaking shower door, but it is still leaking. A little bit less, but still leaking nonetheless. I have given up on them. I will add a bit more caulking myself to see if it solves the problem. It was way too frustrating and exhausting of an experience working with them. They give extremely poor customer service and do not respect their customers' time. Do not be fooled by the price. For 100 or 200 dollars more, you could get another company out to do the job properly.

Initially spoke, on the phone, to Victor and he seemed like a great guy. I was expecting to be dealing with him but instead booking, measurement and installation was done by Zeev. The rates were great, and the job was done well, had no issues so far in last 2 weeks.

Only gripe was getting a straight forward response from Zeev was difficult. Had to wait 1 week to get onsite quote and measurement, but during the week, I had no idea when he would call. After paying my deposit, he said it would take a week for the order and install. After 1 week, I called for updates and he responded he'll call me back. He never did, and I had to call back so many times, I lost count.

He finally came after another week of waiting and calling every other day for an update. The point being, I know my job is small, he's busy, and my job might not take priority, but I deserve a legit date and time. I don't mind waiting but at least give me a set date.

No complaints about the job so far. Took less then 30 mins for the install. Price was less than others, but I did not really shop around. Maybe my experience would have been different if my job was bigger or if they were not that busy.

Dmitry and his partner are exceptional, friendly and very professional as well as communicative to all my questions and bar none some of the best prices out there, I would definitely use them again for any future projects.

Dmitry and Zeev were very busy during this time of the year but still found the time to do the glass shower in our house. Overall I am happy with the job and the process leading to it's finish! Brian Levy

Glass and the City turned out to be the one company that was able to do the job in a timely manner with great customer service and the right price. I had been looking to renovate my shower into a glass shower, using custom designed glass. The shower is quite large and there were not many companies that would commit to this job with out having to alter something due to the large sizes of glass I requested. I was impressed with how skilled the installers were and very happy there did not have to be any alterations.The job turned out fantastic.
