Old West Windows And Doors Ltd No Longer In Business

Our home previously had old, drafty 32" entry doors (front & back). We wanted to replace both doors with 36" modern doors. We also needed to replace one of our windows. I phoned Old West and spoke with one of the sales associates, Rick. I was immediately impressed. Ricked seemed genuinely interested in talking to me, demonstrated a tonne of patients, and was very knowledgeable (I ask A LOT of questions). Rick was able to schedule an appoint to meet us at our home quickly and at a time of day that was convenient for my wife and I. He left us with lots of brochures to supplement the tour he gave us of modern door technologies and the options that would work in our home. I would say that Rick did an excellent job of creating a comfortable, "no pressure" atmosphere while presenting my wife and I with the products and services offered by Old West.

Once we had made our selections for the windows and doors we were interested in, we were provided with a quote in a timely fashion. At this point in the process we were put in contact with Shauna. In writing this review I have realized that I don't know her job title, so, all I can say is that she must be some sort of master of planning and logistics. We worked with Shauna to schedule the work, to pay for services rendered, and to resolve a couple installation issues we had. Unfortunately we never had the chance to meet Shauna in person, but on the phone she comes off as very kind, approachable, and has a "can do" attitude.

The installation! We had to wait 8 weeks for our install date, and as much patients as it took to wait that long, I took it to mean that Old West was busy (a.k.a good at what they do). Old West's installers showed up on schedule and were met by my wife. She found them to be professional, courteous, and friendly. She was completely at ease with them in our home. The quality of their installation was consistent with the highest standards and I have received nothing but compliments on their work from friends, neighbours, and the other contractors I've had working in my home.

When I inspected the installation I noticed a problem with the latching mechanism and the dead-bolt. When I informed Old West (Shauna) of the problems, I was met with assurance that the problems would be addressed; and they were addressed in a timely fashion. More importantly they were addressed to my satisfaction.

In short, Old West provided quality, expert service on all levels. The final product that I have installed in my home is of the highest quality in both products and installation. I highly recommend working with Old West for all of your window and door needs.

From the initial estimate with Rick to the end of the installation, they have been great! Rick was very knowledgeable and knows his stuff! Shauna was very patient with us as we were communicating back and forth asking for different configurations for the door and windows. They were even able to give us the trims to stain beforehand - that was a great bonus!

The day of the install, Kyle and his team was fully prepared. They laid drop cloths everywhere they were going to be working at and the path leading to it. They also answered all of our questions that we had during the installation. After the installation, they vacuumed and cleaned up the area as they found it. We had a small problem with one of the windows after the installation and Kyle came back a fixed the issue that same afternoon. Rick even called to follow-up to see how it all went. We love our new windows and door! They'll be getting a call from us when we replace more windows in the house.

Excellent service. Came out right away for a quote. Very helpful with ordering and selection. The installation was perfect, they came on time and were done within two hours. We are very happy with the final product and that we went with Old West Windows!

These guys were great! Very friendly, efficient and professional. They replaced three doors - two exterior, and a patio door - in 4.5 hours. The work was of the highest quality and the result is fantastic. We would definitely recommend Old West Windows!

Old West did a terrific job, from the initial consultation through to delivery, installation and clean-up. We were very pleased dealing with Rick, the new windows make a remarkable difference in opening up the view and keeping the summer heat down, and the crew were very pleasant! We couldn't ask for a more professional installation.

Our experience with this family run business from the beginning with our initial consultation with Rick to the installation was such a totally positive. Everyone we have dealt with is professional with such a focus on customer service and satisfaction. Follow up on minor issues have been prompt. The installation crew worked quickly, were very friendly and very clean and took great care to protect our lamps, furniture and flooring. I have already recommended Old West to everyone I know on facebook!

We just completed the last phase of our window replacement project. As usual we had great experience with Rick and his crew.
Everything was done on time, as promised.

There were good and bad things about using Old West Windows. We had one window replaced in January. Rick was very knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk to. We had requested a different material for the window's indoor trim and Rick promised us a maple trim. But, on the day of the work, the crew knew nothing of it and nothing was written about using a maple trim. The crew was very professional and efficient. They used a drop cloth in the house and cleaned up well afterwards. We were happy with their work and the window's quality. However, there was a defect in the exterior frame and they promised to rectify it. Over the next few months, they send someone over from Jeld-Wen twice but both times, they were incapable of fixing it with different excuses. Even though Old West claimed that it was Jeld-Wen that were negligent in completing the repair, to us, anyone sent over represents Old West Windows because that's who we hired and paid to complete the work. It's been over 4 months now and we just hope the next time, it can be fixed once and for all.

We used Old West Windows & Doors last year to install windows in our basement. We were so pleased with the windows, the company and the installers we called them back this year to do the rest of the windows in the house. Like our experience last year the guys arrived on time, were very pleasent to deal with and very professional. The job went off without a hitch (just like they said it would) and the windows look great. We are so happy we have recommended them to our friends and also to some of my customers.

We had Old West Windows & Door Ltd. replace all of the windows in our house as well as 2 doors and a set of patio doors. Rick was great to deal with during the estimate portion and explained in detail how things would progress if we chose them. Shauna kept in touch with us via email to confirm installation dates which was appreciated. And when the crew showed up, they were efficient, professional and very friendly. I have already recommended them to my family and friends as the place to go if they are ever in need of windows or doors. I am so glad this was the company I chose to do our renovation.
