A Better Way Plumbing Ltd.

My furnace quit today (-20, brrr), and I called a few places based on their Homestars reviews. Nobody could come until tomorrow! When I called Jason at A Better Way, he was able to come right away and he fixed the problem in 10 minutes. Jason is pleasant and courteous and knows his stuff. He is now my go-to furnace guy!

I had A Better Way Plumbing replace a toilet almost 2 years ago. I called them again when I was having an issue with the toilet suddenly starting to continue to run water into the tank. Jason (and team) showed up promptly and replaced the float mechanism and advised me that this was all covered by Warranty! Thanks guys, I don't often find warranty coverage to extend much beyond 30 days, 90 days or even 1 year nowadays!

We phoned the A Better Way plumbing company Friday night when our hot water suddenly ran out. We were pleasantly surprised with return call and helpful discussion of problem on the phone. We reached agreement on the need to replace a 10 year old hot water tank. Jason arrived Saturday morning with a new tank and the job was completed in two hours. Many thanks for the prompt and efficient service.

This company is one of my go-to's for anything to do with plumbing. Jason first helped me out when I had a dishwasher leak a few years back and I was blown away by how quickly he got back to me and how much care he took to clean up the place after the leak and repair.

This year I had moved to a new home and decided that I needed to replace the hot water tank. Again, I was not disappointed - he was prompt at getting back to me with a reasonable quote and his crew showed up on time and was extremely respectful in addition to providing me with information while they worked. If you have any plumbing needs, you won't be disappointed with this company.

Once the employees were on site and working they were fantastic to deal with. Courteous, fast and happy to explain what they were doing and answer any questions I had. The work they completed seems to be of good quality as well. The downfall for me was the lack of communication and delay in response. Generally my emails were replied to in a reasonable amount of time but found my phone calls were rarely returned. I even had them out to check out a possible leak after they had finished their work. It turned out to be unrelated and I was told I would get a quote for the work to be done and ended up going with someone else because I never received the quote or any follow up from them.

First time dealing with Jason. He was professional, on time, on budget, and the whole project went better than expected. I would (will) definitely deal with Better Way in the future, and would recommend to anyone in need of a plumber.

I called A Better Way for the first time over a year ago when my garburator was plugged. They came and installed a new one and it worked for a little over a year. It came with a 2 year parts and labour warranty. When it quit working, I called them again. Jason sent out someone the next day and he said he would order a new garburator for us. A couple of days later they came back with a new garburator installed it and there was no charge. It was handled in a very respectful, polite way. Thank you, Jason. I will call again and will recommend you to my friends.

We were getting our basement developed and were at the drywall stage, when it was pointed out that the bathroom had no heating outlet! The framer/heating guy was supposed to put one in but didn't and we hadn't noticed. So since the drywallers were starting the next morning, something had to be done NOW. One quick call to Jason and he had Nathan come over that afternoon. Nathan was so friendly, polite, quick and efficient, he really made it simple. It was a quick and easy job, but we were much appreciative that they could do it on such short notice. The price was reasonable and I sure wish I had chosen Jason to do all the plumbing in the first place. He will certainly be my only call in the future for any plumbing concerns. Would highly recommend him for any job. Thanks Jason.

Our hot water tank suddenly stopped working during the night. It wasn't getting any power and I couldn't figure out the issue. When I came into work the next morning I requested a quote online from three different companies on Home Stars around 8am. Jason responded to me within 15 minutes (the other two didn't even respond) and provided me a window when he could come over and provide a free estimate. Here is what I liked:

He was very easy to deal with over text (really great while at work).
He was able to come over during a lunch break and was on time.
Pointed out the issue right away and the hot water tank was up and running.

I would highly recommend dealing with this company and will be telling my friends and co workers.
