My basement development was just completed by Planit Builders. They did a fantastic job and I'm very pleased with the finishings and overall look and design.
I had a very positive experience when dealing with their staff. Joe Parker was the site supervisor, he made sure the project schedule was adhered to and effectively addressed any concerns I had during the project.
The work site was very clean and tidy throughout the project and there was minimal disruption while the work got underway.
I will definitely recommend Planit Builders to friends and family.

We are very pleased with the work planit builders did. From the initial contact with them through completion. We can not say enough positive comments for our contractor, Joe Parker. As with any construction/renovation, we experienced some bumps in the process. We benefited from having Joe as he was on top of the issues and rectified them immediately. He was diligent in ensuring everything was not only to our satisfactory but exceeded expectations. Having Joe Parker on our team reinforced that our decision to go with Planit Builders was the right choice. The timeline was followed within days and the cost of the project was very reasonable given other quotes we had obtained.

We would reccomend Planit Builders to others and are pleased we can now enjoy our entire home with the basement development.

It took a little bit for the project to get started but once it did the garage was up very quickly and I'm very happy with the final product. Joe Parker, the site super was very helpful and great to work with.

Recently we developed our basement with Planit Builders and we are very happy with the end result. They finished it on time and on budget. Site sup Joe was very good. There were some hiccups during the construction with railing stain and builtin media center and he managed to get it done with our satisfaction. They went above and beyond to give us a good service.

PlanitBuilders was an excellent choice for us from start to finish. Don, our project estimator, was very thorough on our site walkthrough. He was articulate as to the needs of the excavation and slope of the project site. We sat down at the laptop and within twenty min or so, had our full breakdown, cost of project and timeline mapped out on paper.

Granted, more expensive than another estimate we had received, but that company wouldn't even come to our house in Cochrane in person and was attempting to give us an over-the-phone estimate. Said we had to get our own permits, didn't know where to dump dirt..etc. Planit looks after EVERYTHING virtually seamless.

Our project manager, Joe, is a very busy guy, personable, focused, and a real get-it-done type. Has an answer for any questions you may have. And not just the answer they think you want to hear as many will try and do. Everything promised is delivered. There was a bit of drop from the man door to the new post build grade. A 3' X 4' outside landing was built without question or charge to fix this. Absolutely appreciated! Joe gives project updates Friday with the next weeks forecasted scheduled dates of activity.

Great thing about PB, concrete does concert, electrical does electrical, framers do framing, etc. Not just a Jack of All Trades doing it all. Again, paid a bit more, but the specialized piece of mind is well worth it.

We had some issues with the initial site supervisor we were assigned however the PlanIT Builders management dealt with that issue and we were assigned a new site supervisor. The new site supervisor, Brian, was great to work with. He would respond to any questions in a timely fashion and made sure everything was to our liking. After Brian took over the project went per the schedule and we are very happy with the final product.

The entire process from beginning to end was amazing. Having meeting with all the professionals and discussing our needs and wants then coming up with a game plan to making our vision come true made it so easy. They are very professional and accommodating. There was something always happening so you knew the project was staying on schedule and progressing. When you had questions or concerns they were looked after immediately. Once the project was completed,a professional cleaner was brought in and cleaned every surface. They even had our furnace cleaned and serviced. The 5 year warranty is very comforting.

Upon contacting Planit Builders, the representative (Rep) came to home. We spent over an hour together with the Rep giving me good information in garage building. We decided to go ahead with Planit Builders. The project was started and completed in a timely manner and am very satisfied with the outcome. The manager for the project, Joe kept us informed what was going on. Joe is a very conscientious and hard working manager-coordinator-worker and wants the work done correctly. A very knowledgeable person. I enjoyed working him. And yes, the project was rather expensive, however, everything is expensive these days. I will also say the garage is well-built and it all was done in a timely manner. I would recommend Planit Builders.

Sales pitch and guarantees upfront were very good we even choose to pay more to go with them. The reason for the garage rebuild was for age and water influx reasons.

End result:
- Design options were extremely limited
- Completely incompetent project management (Mark)
- Completely ignored agreed to design (1 foot cemented side curb walls to deal with previous water influx on low lot site)
- Project/site manager and cement contractor actively coordinated to get us to say we agreed to the design change of having no cemented side walls (which was much cheaper for them before offering any sort of rebate)
- After grudgingly acknowledging their screw up they agreed to correct but the project was intentionally forgotten about and continued at a drizzle pace
- Final key hand over was 13 months later in what was promised to be three month max process
- Safety issue with two massive holes left in the yard for 6 months that we finally had to fill in ourselves (see photo)
- Project incompetence was so bad that the framing contractor could not even match the man door to being in the cement cut out for the door (see photo, unbelievably this was never corrected)
- Never cleaned up the site always left in a disaster state
- Finally so glad to be done with them completed all the remaining issues ourselves
- Have zero confidence in having them back if we have any warranty issues (both for the level of customer service response and their competence to correct any issues)

Slow with responding. Hard to keep communication with.
Never feel like I am an appreciated customer.
Had issues my garage and took a while to get handled.
Had my garage door kicked in last Friday. Was hoping they could send someone round and repair, of which I would gladly pay for. I figured they would help, being as they installed the garage. Potentially looking for a basement development, but, not dealing with this company. They don't care about me as a customer.
